Seen this several times thru the years before buying, but worth it. A big Blake Edward's since the Pink Panther series...not to understate his stellar classics: "Breakfast At Tiffany's" & "Days of Wine and Roses". Besides enjoyed "Arthur" to death...Dudley Moore's physical comedy in this makes me laugh out loud. While Bo's "career" never went anywhere...she served the purpose of superior "eye candy" perfectly. Worth watching if you've any sensibilities about life/love & good music before it was only played in elevators.

Saw this as a 13 year old boy and thought, "Wow, how exciting!" Now I realize the story is weak; the acting is worse. Little on premise other than a 42 yr old man in the middle of a mid-life crisis. Bo Derek WAS beautiful 40 years ago but if you're looking for lots or even a modicum of Bo Derek nudity, save your money. For the most part she is in a VERY modest, almost matronly, one-piece swimsuit. Images of her in the nude are blurred by low lighting and her running across the hotel room. I suppose 40 years ago the STORY would be "titillating" but in reality, this movie should have never been made. I think in actuality, John Derek was likely in a mid-life crisis and wanted to "pimp" his wife out for a few bucks.

Good movie. Especially if you like Dudley Moore and or Bo Derek in her prime. At this stage in his career it was fairly believable that Dudley moore's character would be having a midlife crises.

He helps out her husband and I believe temptation got the better of them both.

Who can forget the beach scene if memory serves me correct the beach run has been parodied more than once😉

All in all a good movie but do consider the movie audience as it does earn the R rating.

I had seen this 'years' ago but my husband had not. We both are fans of Dudley Moore and it was easy to convince my husband to see film featuring Bo Derek. I had forgotten a lot of the details so I enjoyed seeing it again.
Dudley Moore is always an amazing comedian. It's a must see on the list of all time great films.

Strange things about "10." It's one of those films that was hysterical when it came out, and watching it many years later it doesn't seem as funny. Oh it has very funny scenes, especially when he's trying to use the phone and talk to the police after having been numbed up by the dentist. The perv neighbor doesn't seem so funny nowadays, and the whole plot, composer in Beverly Hills has wealthy successful and decent girlfriend, so what does composer do? Falls for a young bride and follows her to Mexico on her honeymoon. Dudley is of course cute as heck in this film, but not that nice of a character. Film has a gay character as his friend, I remember that was new at the time. Film made worldwide gossip mag sensation out of Bo Derek, who became the subject of Whatever Happened To articles by the 1990s. SPOILER ALERT: Perhaps NOT surprisingly, she easily invites him to her room for sex while her new husband is in the hospital. Dudley realizes she's a floozy and an airhead and goes back to decent girlfriend.

Thus begins a journey of self-discovery that will change him - and his life - forever. When this film first came out, the brilliance of the script and music was sadly eclipsed by WAY too much attention to Bo Derek and her beautiful body. I think we're all older and wiser now. Blake Edwards wrote and directed this classic and the cast does it to perfection. Special props for Henry Mancini's exquisite score.

Used to love this movie 45 years ago. Don't really know why when I see this movie at the present time. Very demeaning to women. Also my husband hates it because he's just not interested in all the crude jokes and nudity.

Ok, to be honest, the movie should really be called "2", not "10" since the focus seemed to be on Bo Derek's 2... She was certainly the eye candy that attracted many young and old men alike to watch this Dudley Moore mid-life crisis movie. Not the best movie ever made and nothing deep that really made one think, but it did have some entertaining value. Give this late 70s movie a look.
