This was awful!

No character depth or morals. No believable connection between characters. Granted, this review is only based upon the first half of the movie, because we refused to waste anymore of our life watching the rest.

Very real story about unplanned pregnancy and relationships

3.5 I think a lot of people were disappointed in the movie, especially the end. I can totally get that. However, I found it refreshing because it wasn't some super unbelievable, stupid storyline. I found it to be very authentic. Maybe that's why it wasn't very likeable to a lot of people... Such a realistic story, no Hollywood ending. The unrealistic part was there was only one scene where her kids were getting out of control, fighting, getting on the adults nerves and causing friction between them. There would be a lot more of that going on in real life. Lol.

The ending was horrible

I started off really enjoying the movie. However the ending was so abrupt & disappointing. What was the whole point? I guess one night stands should be avoided at all costs. That’s for sure

Lot's of Potential, Unfulfilled

This movie had some nice moments and seemed to be leading to something, but then it was over and we got a scrolling sentence, "Abagail and her kids continued to do fine" or something like that. There was a lot more story telling that needed to happen. This was a miss in my book.

Nice Modern Romance
Verified purchase
Spoilers: A nice modern RomCom with a believable storyline — Christina Ricci is sincere and sweet as a single NYC mom who meets a nice guy and falls In love. Their quickie romance becomes more serious when Ricci becomes pregnant after their first date. As someone who knows personally a friend who happened to become pregnant (after two weeks of dating) and engaged (and subsequently broken up) -the story is a reflection of modern internet romance gone awry and a woman falling for a guy with issues with commitment and long haul love. Though the characters seem to have dramatic personality changes at the end — there are some cute scenes and witty one-liners. Strange and slightly abrupt ending but thoughtful dialogue and some funny moments.

Eh...

There was no character development in this movie or sense of a full-fledged story. It was just a series of scenes thrown together. There was no chemistry between the two leads and the rollercoaster of emotions seemed forced and contrived. I'm glad they didn't end up together, that was the only believable thing in this poorly-executed film.

Really trite, dumb, movie

I didn't have high expectations, but it was truly a waste of time, and very frustrating to watch. No substance, crappy story line, disappointing in so many ways. My recommendation would be to avoid at all costs.

Really awful

I am a fan of awkward sand sweet but eccentric rom coms. This seems like what the movie is, but it isn't. It is people clearly making bad choices and decisions who don't know how to adult very well. There is the sense that chemistry will develop among the characters, but it never does. What haunts you isn't anything the movie does effectively, it is what it doesn't do. And the icing on the cake is that that last few frames are simply text telling you what happened, as if the directors just couldn't finish the film, couldn't bear to shoot any more scenes.
