Entertaining, but a load of propaganda and masculine derailment.

It was entertaining and even had some good morals. But the focus of this movie is:

As a man you are all screwed up and wrong and women can and should do whatever makes them feel good. Also, you aren't worth as much as females and should take a prostitute instead of looking for quality in women.

Keep in mind fellas, women statistically initiate divorce and cheating at a much higher rate than men... also, the more they have slept around means that statistic is MUCH more inclusive to them. You're just not going to amount to the 4 guys that nailed her at once while she was on ecstasy. Look for a classy lady that has NOT been around the block.

hard to get through entire movie.

Scores of pretty college girls, but not worth it unless you want to hear the narrator/lead actor/no-it-all talk non-stop, all the way through this film. I wanted to turn it off, and that is something I NEVER do. Nice seeing Heigl & Pressly though.

It's OK. It's not really fully a 2000s teens sex comedy that I thought it was. There are the essential elements and it starts off leaning that way like its going to be nothing but humor. Though about shortly after it starts it kind loses its sense of what it wants to be IMHO. It goes from comedy to more a serious tone like you find in the middle of a romantic comedy. Not as serious as a drama but i did find myself not really laughing and "just watching a story" at some point.

Further the movie kinda also starts bouncing into somewhat having a tone of "men drool, girls rule" variety but also they do it kinda in a way it doesn't take too seriously ...or at least I couldn't because it also kinda had some "fighting back" against it from a few characters and it did at the same time lampoon the hardcore feminists and at the end aims for a humanist perspective. (One sidenote interesting to see the lampooning of those same arguments being made in 2000 that I thought premiered out in 2014. I guess back then the distinction was there was only a handful of feminist nutcases and we didn't have social media to amplify those nutcases to the mainstream and crazif-y normal folk).

2.5 stars .I might watching again. They could've made it more funnier with more comedy instead of trying to play the balancing act of sending a propaganda message via the somewhat annoying narration. Also not to market this as a teen sex comedy as its more so a romcom

I remember watching this movie on Amazon Prime a bit ago. On how this movie does have a touching and sentimental plot-line progress in some funny general scenes but at times seems to have a somewhat agenda. In the way of how the movie does make it seem *spoiler warning* on plot-line that it is okay and understanding to comprehend a girl’s point of view in a loner/loser/virgin’s stance of perception of a college student. Although the oddity, that it is fine to be with a bit of a “dirty” girl at the end. In how the girl he met in the elevator short circuit power outage was dating a bad guy in the story but makes it seem okay to date a girl who was with someone like that and who knows how many others; which are really as much specified as it is inferred but not true but being may be a rumor. Although evidence is there of her being with a druggy type of guy and sleeping in a dark trapped elevator making her seem be a fine girl to connect with even if it was a one night stand.

The movie does have a touching moments at times but some points I remember even from reading other review some parts of the movie did seem to make the masculine persona to be weak and having women be the prized pedestal to treasure. It did have good points as in the egotistical view of a girl’s POV to be turned inwards to her not using her looks to get what she wants after getting hurt. In how before she would get students to do her homework or not care of other people’s (specifically, guys’) feelings or perception.

All in all good overall movie way giving it a 3/5 but as can say, some points would be noticeable cringy or seem as an agenda a bit to go against guys but go for girls no matter what in POVs; great to see a throwback of a love/mystery story of a male college student’s point of view trying to find his hidden one night stand love, no matter what even if she isn’t 100 in good traits as in for to express and receive to both sides why is good and bad cringy in points to viewing this film.

Easily the worst film I've ever seen. The writing can best be described as "8th grader writes an essay on intersex dynamics". Every acting performance is forgettable. The "comedy" was banal and flat. It was just really, really bad.

6.9 out of 10. It's got its weak moments such as why Patty felt the heed to jump and have fun with the lead guy in that elevator when they were stuck in darkness and why he went to such lengths to find her. I also think Jamie Pressley wasn't the right candidate for her role although she's more fun than Katherine Heigl, queen of you know what nowadays. Still it's a decent watch.

I liked this movie. As a married and divorced woman, I feel I have a pretty good feel on what works and doesn't work in a relationship. If I'd watched this when I was younger it would have given me a lot to think about. It still did make me pause after it was over, thinking about the world and modern relationships. What they discuss still applies today, 20 years later. I think most girls wish a man would try so hard to "get it" and appreciate the ones who do.

Started Out Funny... Went Downhill From There

I really didn't get the point of this movie. Was it supposed to be funny...? Or preaching to all men how bad they are and need to worship women?
