Jason D. Brawn is a rabid fan of the horror genre, and a writer of dark fiction, which includes a plethora of published short stories and prose poetry, as well as a few produced radio plays and comic book scripts.
His short screenplay Portrait was made as a successful short film, and he holds a BA in Film and Media from Birkbeck, University of London and an MA in Gothic: Culture, Subculture and Counterculture from St. Mary’s University, in Strawberry Hill.
He resides in London and his website is http://jasonbrawn.weebly.com.
Paul M. Feeney was born in Scotland in 1975 and currently lives in Aberdeen. He has been reading and watching horror, dark fantastical stories, and other speculative genre works as long as he can remember. With this deep love of story and the fantastic, it was perhaps inevitable that he would eventually turn his hand to writing his own tales, though it took him until 2011 to decide to write his first proper short story.
Since then, he has penned a number of diverse works, some of which have found homes in various small presses. His first published short (only his second written), THE WEIGHT OF THE OCEAN, was released by Phrenic Press in 2015 as a Kindle only. This was followed by a number of various other short story acceptances, through such publishers as Sirens Call Publications, April Moon Books, The Sinister Horror Company, and numerous others.
His first novella, THE LAST BUS, was released through Crowded Quarantine Publications mid-2015 (as a limited edition signed & numbered paperback; sadly, no longer in print). His second novella, KIDS, was published by Dark Minds Press mid-2016. His stories range from character and plot driven pulpy horror/SF, with the occasional dash of fantasy, to more emotive, reflective pieces. He is currently beavering away on various projects, including his first novel.
Published in early 2020 was CURSED, a Garrison Wake novelette, through Demain Publishing. This is the second Wake story to be released following THOSE WHO LIVE IN SHADOW, which appeared in the fourth issue of Occult Detective Quarterly. Wake is a shape-shifting private investigator in the city of Detroit, who often deals with cases related to the Shadow World (the collective name for all manner of supernatural and paranormal beings which exist in his world). The author has written a number of stories with this character, and intends to pursue many more, ranging from shorts to novellas and novels.
He has also begun writing quieter, emotive works (whilst still retaining genre 'flavours') using the pseudonym Paul Michaels. The first of these stories was published early 2019, in Corpus Press' In Darkness Delight: Masters of Midnight anthology. Also under this name, he contributes the occasional review for premier horror website, This is Horror.
Iain Grant is the author of numerous novels and short story collections. Since 2011, he has co-authored more than thirty books with Heide Goody.
They are the authors of the Sam Applewhite crime novels, the internationally-renowned Oddjobs urban fantasy comedies and the devil-in-suburbia Clovenhoof books.
He can be found on all the usual social media platforms or pottering around coffee shops in South Birmingham.
Stephanie Ellis lives near Wrexham in Wales in the UK with her family and is a writer of horror and dark fiction and poetry. She is an active member of the HWA.
She can be found online supporting HorrorTree.com via the Indie Bookshelf Releases posts and on the Dark Fusion Podcast with Beverley Lee and Shane Douglas Keene. Her website is https://stephanieellis.org/ where you may occasionally pick up a free story. You can find her on twitter @el_Stevie.
"The triumph of Everington’s first novel is that, while hinting at lofty literary precedents, it cumulatively takes on an unsettling voice all of its own." The Guardian
I'm a writer of horror and strange stories from Nottingham, England. I enjoy the unexplained, the psychological, and the ambiguous in my weird fiction, and this is the kind of story I try and write. My main influences are writers like Ramsey Campbell, Shirley Jackson, and Robert Aickman.
My latest collection of stories, 'Falling Over', is out now from Infinity Plus, as is the episodic novel 'The Quarantined City' which was recently reviewed in The Guardian.
My first book as editor, 'The Hyde Hotel' was released in 2016.
I drink Guinness, if anyone's offering.

5 out of 5 stars
The anthology 12 Dark Days is a wonderful set of stories which are frightening and, in some cases, disturbing. They had me turning pages and on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I have always loved the horror genre, and these are some amazingly written stories that will keep you mesmerized. There are some interesting and intriguing characters that lead you on a journey in which you are never sure of where or how it will end. Some are twisted, and others had me with my mouth hanging open asking, “That didn’t just happen did it?” I love stories that make a chill go down my spine and these fit that description. The anthology kept my attention and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had read the final page to the final story. I love anthologies as I find new authors, and this can lead to other stories to read. These stories have a holiday theme and are sure to satisfy any lover of the horror genre. Recommended reading.
This was a enjoyable read. I liked some of the stories. I also had my favourites. The best laid plans
Eight maids a milking
Nine ladies dancing were my favourites. There were some that I wasn't keen on too. 4*.
