5.0 out of 5 starsA film that shines a spotlight in the struggles of the underclass in current day America.

The film does a great job in developing the varied cast of characters. The characters are complex and the film often makes it difficult for the audience to make a clear black or white judgment on each. I found myself applauding certain characters and then feeling disgusted by their behaviors in other circumstances, and vise-versa. Unfortunately story lines on display are not isolated events; we see dramatizations of struggles that happen daily to millions of Americans and people around the world.

The movie was very interesting, and deep. I liked that it covered the different characteristics in the film and what goes on in Oakland. I'm from Oakland, and these are things that happen on a day to day basis. I liked that the whole movie was filmed in Oakland. The characters in the film did a great job, I wish it could have been more.

It's great seeing MBJ growing as an actor. He is a superstar actor and this was a great movie to watch. Tom Clancy's plots are always riveting; this film doesn't disappoint.
