Juan Garcia is a typical teenager living in a gang infested barrio of East LA. When his movie star uncle Manny invites him out on a joy ride in his new Cadillac, the situation goes bad. Juan is then accused of a crime he did not commit.

WTF did I just watch!?

Warning spoilers: did I miss something? The end of this movie made absolutely zero sense. Why does Manny use his supposedly beloved nephew as the get away driver? Why does he even do the robbery at all? Why won’t the cop stick up for the kid when it really counts? Why is the lawyer doing drugs? Why does the bad guy get away? Why are there four separate strip club scenes when strippers have nothing to do with the plot? I wouldn’t mind any of these outcomes if they were actually congruent with the characters and the story line but none of this was ever adequately explained. Just seemed like a lot of loose ends without a coherent narrative. This had some good ideas but failed to deliver on any of them.

This is not the type of violence that I prefer on TV. Because I watched 3 movies this one was recommended. I keep saying that I would be more careful about what I pick to watch.

Hard to follow at times

Danny is a great actor so I dislike to give this a negative rating but the ending was rather terrible and the acting was very bad at times from the other actors such as the lawyer and main officer.
