So if you have Adele's early offerings, this will not disappoint.
Upon the first listening, both 21 and 25 immediately grabbed the listener's attention. On 30, the listener will keep waiting for the magic/richness of Adele's voice and the album ends. There is no instrumental or tonal richness as well. "Huh?" was my reaction. I thought it was me but the entire family was like "is this Adele?"
Detours are common in art. I hope Adele finds here way back to a kind of music (not necessarily 21 or 25 style music) that complements her vocal skills

Maybe my expectations were too high, thinking it would be another classic like her previous 3 albums.
I was so excited that my copy arrived on Thursday ahead of its official release date, but this excitement was very short lived.
It's a very depressing album and I didn't enjoy it at all, in fact I've passed my copy onto a friend already who also likes Adele but she hadn't got round to ordering her copy, I told her not to bother, she can have mine if she wants it, it was in my opinion certainly not what I expected to say the least.
Im not wanting to be disrespectful or want to hurt the artist. I love a lot of Adele's back catalogue, her live appearance in The Royal Albert Hall, her great way with her tribute acts who she surprised with a disguise as a tribute act herself was priceless and her unforgetable headline at Glastonbury, but unfortunately this album is just not for me sorry, and had to give it 1 star rating which is 1 more than I felt it deserves.
Addendum. It hasn't. I am pleased to hear that I am not alone. £12 quid down the grid. Want refund from Adele or Amazon, both of whom can afford it.
