beware, if you want the documentary about the firefighter and 9/11 being his first day on the job - this listing is somewhat deceitful, and so is the review page. I was very tired and didn't clearly understand the way Amazon has this listing set up. This must be some new marketing tool for Amazon, they need more money I guess. Anyway, they suckered me... so read the listing more carefully than I did... or you will wind up paying 10 bucks for this godawful Charlie Sheen 9/11 movie that was released in 2017. I just watched it, it's one of the worst movies you will ever see. But I am keeping it as a reminder to be more careful about ordering from Amazon in the future.

I saw this film in the theater but not a chain like AMC or Regal a independent small theater the Rialto. As soon as the movie ended I could not wait for the dvd because of how great this movie was. A all star cast and a film in the 70's disaster movie era type like (The Towering Inferno, Earthquake, Airport, Poseidon Adventure) vein. The film came and went with little notice because big chain theaters advoided it and did no advertising for it at all. I found out about it by stumbling across the trailer on youtube. I began to think the dvd would never come out but then it finally did but the only way to purchase it was here at amazon because you could not find it at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, FYE, all told me it is a title they just don't carry. I ordered it as fast as I could. Could not wait to get my hands on it. I do not know why this film compared to World Trade Center got treated so badly by theaters, advertisers, and stores. The cast is excellent, the story excellent because it is a different view from World Trade Center because once you get to know the characters and their lives it is told from most trapped in a elevator and in the underground basement offices that have no idea whatsoever is going on because they are cut off from everyone and everything. And the ending with the firemans heroic action is excellent. A truly great story and film of a true life event but unlike World Trade Center and Flight 93 and all the other movies made on the same subject this one got shitcanned by all media outlets and sellers. The only thing I can think of is maybe because of Charlie Sheen that might have had something to do with it but I felt his performance here was on of his best film performances in a while and there was even a inside Wallstreet joke in the film for movie lovers. I don't let politics and celebrities influence what movies I see I judge a movie for its performance and how I feel when I leave the theater and this one made me feel like I was seeing the 70's style disaster films again and I left the theater with sweaty hands from gripping the arm rest of my chair so tight from the stories nervewracking action. A must see for disaster film lovers.

NOTE: Please disregard the large volume of 5 star reviews. If you read them carefully you'll see these users are mistaking this movie for the 9/11 documentary which was good. Go check out rotten tomatoes and imdb scores and you'll see the awful reviews this movie is getting.

Almost the entire movie takes place in an elevator with the exception of a sparse few scenes outside. The movie appears to be going for a 12 angry men kind of movie where all the plot is focused on the characters interacting with each other in the movie. However, even that falls flat miserably. They don't really do much to develop the characters and it just comes off as flat and boring. On top of that, it just seems exploitative to use 9/11 as the backdrop to this plot when it's of zero relevance to the plot. They could have easily done the same thing and just made it a fictitious burning or bombed building. Movies like this make me wish I could return amazon videos for store credit.

Charlie Sheen went through some troubles, maybe it was due to testing positive??...or being blackmailed about it?? I think I would have freaked out myself. That being said, he has TOTALLY redeemed himself in my eyes! Excellent, excellent movie! I read at the end of the movie that he was also the producer. I wish it would be re-released at the theater, I would go see it in a heartbeat. Do take note, the language is rough so think twice if you have children. I am not racist however, I am uncomfortable on the anniversary of 9/11. My husband went to Iraq right after 9/11. His hummer was hit by an RPG. Out of the 4 guys inside, only two lived (thank you, JESUS). This is almost 2019. Sadly, most kids in high school have no idea why we still get nervous when getting on a plane. I wish this could be shown to every high school student. The characters are so human, they could be your friends, family or next door neighbor. Do yourself a favor and watch this...again, you get to know the people so well...you will find yourself yelling, "no, go the other way! hurry!" etc Well, we did. It took me about a week to stop thinking about it...after you watch, you will understand why.

I read a lot of the other poor reviews because I genuinely couldn't figure out why this movie was rated so low, but for a lot of people it seems to have hit an emotional nerve. In my opinion, the film is fantastic. The film, which is based on a play, gives a very, very intimate glimpse into the predicament of 5 people that could have been anyone inside the building that day. Who cares if it wasn't a verified true story? From reading many accounts of that day, anything that was imaginable could have happened. Jack and Rose also weren't actual people on the Titanic. Fiction that takes place on the backdrop of an real tragedy is generally thought of as acceptable. The cinematography and the action are quite realistic and the performances all around and particularly from Sheen, Guzman and Gershon were so great. Unfairly underrated movie in my honest opinion!

A good movie that deserved a better theatrical release.

Anyone who thought the description of this Movie was misleading with a big picture of Whoopi Goldberg is a Simpleton. This is NOT a Documentary! The Description does not suggest it is a Documentary. This was actually an EXCELLENT MOVIE!

Great movie, not sure why it had negative reviews when it came out. There were actually an estimated 200+ in the elevators of both towers when they came down contrary to Amazon's "Trivia".
