A Haunting in Rose Grove Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
A malevolent entity. A violent haunting. A house with a bloody history. Jake Nolan left it all behind, but now he must return.
Jake has it all — a new home, an amazing girlfriend, and nearing a promotion at work. Best of all, he feels he’s finally moved on from the horrors of his traumatic past. But when he learns that his estranged brother, Trevor, has moved back into their haunted childhood home, Jake knows his past is not quite finished with him yet.
Jake rushes to the old house in Rose Grove — a small town with a tragic history — to pull his brother from that dangerous place. But it’s too late. There, he finds Trevor trying to make contact with the spirit that tormented them years ago.
And Trevor refuses to leave. He is determined to cleanse the house and remove the entity. But the supernatural activity becomes too much to handle, and Jake knows they are both unprepared for the fight. Worse, the entity targets Daniel, Jake’s young nephew, and wants to bring him harm. And when the intelligent haunting shows signs of demonic infestation, Jake realizes they aren’t dealing with a mere ghost.
Jake attributes the evil spirit for driving his parents to an early grave. Now it wants to claim the rest of the family, and the only way Jake and Trevor will survive is to send the entity back to hell.
A Haunting in Rose Grove is a supernatural horror novel for listeners who love stories about haunted houses and battles with the demonic — the truest form of evil that exists in our world.

Trevor falls from the treehouse and breaks his arm. Jake knows he was pushed.
Their father is "disciplining" for things that they haven't done. It's summer break and now their wearing cuts and bruises from their father.
Please read this book to find out everything that the demon has done to this family. I promise you will NOT be disappointed!
Example: "I ____ your mom!" Or "Your mom is a ____ ha ha ha". Etc.
Not to mention, the antics the demon used seemed cliché. Ripping up Bibles. Throwing a crucifix.
I've read enough horror books that are similar but manage to maintain uniqueness and be different. This book lost this.
Also, the grammar, syntax, and overall flow felt awfully young. At first, I wondered if the book was geared to a younger (middle school) audience, but the language, images the demon paints in your head, and graphic nature makes me not think that. (At least... I'd never let my middle schooler read this...).
I feel like I could've written something like this in middle school.
I see this author has written other books.. maybe I'll check them out, but I'm very disappointed with this one.

A Haunting in Rose Grove begins in 1995 where a family move into their new home in Rose Grove. 20 years later, Jake Nolan thinks he has put the traumatic events of his past behind him until he learns his estranged brother has moved into the very house which tore his family apart.
A Haunting in Rose Grove isn't your run if the mill Amityville clone. There are no cheap gimics or chiches here. Rockwell writes a subtle, thought provoking tale which will chill you to the bones. Before you even reach the end you'll be convinced you have, at sometime in your life, lived in a haunted house. After you have read A Haunting in Rose Grove (and you should read this book) ask yourself... Do you believe in ghost?
