Pros:
-144hz with FreeSync
- Adjustable stand
- Looks pretty high end
- Pretty good selection of ports
- Compatible with laptops at 144hz via display port

Cons:
- Way too bright
- Color are super washed out before calibration
- Your friends wont get off your setup

Overall, this is a pretty decent monitor after color calibration.

Also, I used the ICC colors for this monitor (found with a quick Google Search).

Decent general purpose monitor but extremely bright and somewhat washed out.

Good for general use, but if you need color accuracy move on.

This monitor is very bright and washed out compared to my older Dell. Even after installing the new driver from the manufacturer's website and making adjustments through the monitor's controls, Windows 10, and my graphics card it is still washed out. Darker areas tend to get blocky with what appear to be compression artifacts.

The AOC G2460PF is on the left in the pictures (driven by Displayport). The right is a Dell SW2209W (driven by DVI-d). Both monitors are being driven buy the same video card (Nvidia GTX 1060).

Excellent monitor. AOC monitors have been around for years and I have used them alot.
Received monitor in 2 days very fast shipping package was neat and undamaged.
The monitor looks terrible out of the box....but after about a min of adjusting settings looks fantastic and games...oh boy they look sharp colorful all around beautiful.
Jumping from 75hz 7 ms IPS to 144 hz 1 ms is noticeable in a way I can't really describe.
ReCore looked fantastic on previous monitor at 75 hz but at 144 hz nothing but silky smooth game play....and Prey looks even better.
You can set the refresh rate up in the Nvidia control panel and same for AMD which benefits more with the Free Sync.
Also Normal HDMI won't get you to 144 HZ. To my surprise AOC also included DVI hook up a Data Port cable and in case you want HDMI its in there too. Was very impressed with the construction of monitor/and base super strong and well made. Also has a good looking red and dark grey theme very nice.
I do recommend using the data port cable over the rest. Also monitor raises and lowers tilts back

A litte dissapointing

So initially I was pretty pleased with this monitor, but there are a couple reasons why I have this at 3 stars.

So first it's a great price for a 144hrtz monitor and gets the job done.

However if you put your computer into sleep mode and turn it back on, you'll have to restart the monitor as well or else it'll be locked at 60 hrtz until you do. On top of that, I've been having issues when doing that (turning the monitor off and back on after turning the pc back on from sleep mode) where the pc won't recognize the monitor being connected in which the solution is to have to unplug the monitor from its power source for a couple of seconds and plug it back in.

On top of that I have about 40 dead pixels popping up now about 6 months after purchase.

I ordered this at 1am and imidiately tried to cancel the order, it didnt work and I am very glad it didnt because this Monitor is awesome.

I have it hooked up via display port on my Origin EVO15-S Laptop, the 144HZ really makes a difference in the picture quality.

The calibration out of the box is not good so I suggest you set it as following.

Brightness: 37 Contrast: 43
Color temps R:57 G:48 B:44
Gamma: 1

All in all a awesome buy but I am not a gamer so that aspect I cant advise in.

FLICKERING AND TEARING ISSUES

I purchased this earlier this week. It works well enough for most use cases but there are a few major drawbacks. The panel is overly bright. I mean it is very bright, it hurts the eyes. The biggest issue that I've been having is a bit more serious. In certain games (notably starcraft 2 and CS:GO for me) the monitor flickers and tears like crazy. This is a freesync gaming monitor so when you purchase something like this it's for the purpose of NOT having to deal with tearing. I have tried multiple in game setting adjustments (including vsync), I've tried multiple gpu drivers, multiple radeon setting adjustments (I have an rx 580 gpu), I've tried setting my gpu back to factory clock in wattman instead of the oc+ settings, and finally I've tried every display driver available for the monitor. I was able to eliminate the flicker and tearing in CS:GO but it persists in starcraft 2 and blizzard seems just as stumped as I am.

TL;DR : DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP. SPEND THE FEW EXTRA DOLLARS AND GET SOMETHING MORE RELIABLE.

Good 144 Hz Monitor for the Price

TDLR: That this is one of the cheapest 144 Hz monitors does mean it will not be good at most things, but will do well for fast-paced gaming. I owned this item for over a year, so you should find typical issues below.

Before color and contrast corrections, my monitor color replication was off enough to be noticeable and distracting even while gaming. After color and contrast corrections (2 hours of effort), this monitor can be described as having between okay and decent color reproduction. This is one of the trade-offs for the price. If you are interested I set the following first before doing further corrections in Windows software: Contrast: 35, Brightness: 10, Gamma: Gamma3, Overdrive: Medium, Red: 48, Green: 50, Blue: 38. YMMV as every device is slightly different, but hopefully this is a good baseline.

The screen has no stuck pixels after a year. Max brightness can be extreme for this monitor (hence why I've set a brightness value of 10 above). Min brightness is significant if in a dark room, but I have managed to offset this by using f.lux's brightness change function (alt+page down, this is a monitor color and brightness software). Finally, there is a visible change in white saturation when going from this monitor's 60 Hz setting to 144 Hz. For more beauty oriented games (i.e. Skyrim) I recommend swapping to the 60 Hz mode, as low input lag is not really necessary for that game and the color enhancement is significant.

The 144 Hz aspect is obviously working and working well. Doing the UFO test yielded significantly stable frame rate with low to no jitter. Another obvious test, especially if you have a second monitor that is 60 Hz, is viewing the tail of your mouse cursor when moving quickly. Leveraging this in game has, in my opinion, significantly improved the ease of aiming for hitscan weapons (flicks and tracking), but this is expected for all high frequency monitors.

Now the problems section. The software for this monitor is buggy, and there appear to be some charge build up problems sometimes. The software bug manifests as the monitor continually seeking for a signal instead of shutting down/ entering power saving mode when your computer is turned off. This manifests as long periods of displaying black followed by a few seconds of bright white light from the "No Signal" notice. Because of this, if your gaming setup is in the same room as where you sleep, you will need to flip the power switch off. The charge build up issue manifests as the allowed frequency that the monitor can be driven at. This issue appears after playing for large periods of time (4+ hours) at 144 Hz. After turning off your computer and turning it on again, without turning off the monitor, the monitor will not allow a 144 Hz display port signal ("No Signal" will be displayed), but will respond to a 60 Hz signal. The reason I believe this to be charge build up is that flipping the monitors power switch to off while still plugged in will resolve the issue within 30 minutes. However, flipping the switch and disconnecting the power cable will cause the issue to last far longer (greater than 4 hours), which points to the charge build up not having an easy way to dissipate due to no ground connection. It can be said that the fix for the software glitch also resolves the hardware problem.

Despite the above issues, I still believe this is a great entry level 144 Hz monitor given the price.

Ordered monitor on a Friday and received it on Sunday. When I opened the box, everything was there. I hooked it up to my computer and turned it on. Very surprised on how well it looked considering all the professional reviewers dismissed it due to the display image quality. I absolutely love this monitor. I don't have any dead pixels, back light bleed is nonexistent, it's blazing fast, and super low input lag. 144hz works right out the box on the generic monitor drivers. I went to testufo.com to check out if it was a blurry monitor, and everything is butter smooth on default settings. I used a color profile in windows, tweaked the gamma and back light settings, and am amazed by how well this monitor performs. If you are on a 1080p 60-75hz monitor from 2010-2013, this will be a huge upgrade. I can't believe I've been missing out on 144hz for so long. Games (if you average 144 or greater fps) will look absolutely amazing. I was kind of worried about the brand considering I was looking at a Viewsonic XG2401. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Will buy an AOC again.

This is a great monitor! First thing I did after setting it up was run an online checker for dead pixels just in case it got damaged in shipment. It was perfectly fine.

The second thing I did was change the refresh rate to 144hrtz as Nvidia control panel didn't change it automatically.

Boy let me tell you.... going from 60 to 144hrtz is like getting drug across the beach vs going down a slip and slide. I promise you will be just staring at the monitor while moving around your mouse and different windows for a good 10-30 minutes.

The color is pretty decent as well, but don't think you will have complete control over the color tones from the monitor's settings. Those settings where greyed out/ locked for me. I believe you can calibrate the driver with a special color file to tell it what colors to display, but I didn't really do much research into this. It looks pretty good to me after updating with the default color file. (Instructions included in the box (I think) (Sorry, it's been a while since I bought it and set it up))

Has issues not seen since the CRT monitor era

It would be a decent low end monitor except for the fact that signal loss causes the screen to power back on in a white screen that requires a soft power cycle. This issue occurs only with display port.
HDMI will increase the wake from sleep time to 15 seconds compared to display port which is also unacceptably slow.
Includes the typical low end monitor "features" and defects. Has a driver that windows states is worse then the generic driver. Has the typical useless wire clip. Stand is trash with a oversize and awkward shape the hogs desk space and makes it impossible to put a keyboard close to the monitor. "Fast-charging" instead of a USB 3.0 hub. Menu system is slow to navigate due to unneeded animations.
Panel is ok, software and hardware are trash.

Great budget monitor for gaming. Lighting is extremely bright but the color looks great and very crisp. Only problem I have with it is that when I try to adjust it on the VESA mount, the monitor turns off if I tip it up or down. I think its an issue with the plastic bending and protecting the circuit or something because its definitely not the cord.

I primarily play Overwatch, Warframe, Brawlhalla and Siege. Bought a RX 580 looking for smooth framerates and decided to pair it with a Freesync monitor. This is absolutely fantastic, the Freesync is an absolute gamechanger in poorly optimized games or games with very intense areas/moments that can cause dips in framerate. For those who don't understand what Freesync is: if a game drops frames, you won't notice anything other than the framerate slowing down. No screen tearing or choppy image for a second while it fixes itself. Its amazing. Also this is my first 144 Hz monitor. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to see the difference, but the difference was instantaneous. Its a must for fast paced games like the ones I mentioned before.

And yes, like other reviews mention as well, the colors are bad. Too warm in my opinion. A bit of calibration fixed it to a degree but to be completely honest it doesn't bother me in games at all, only in regular media consumption. The speakers are trash too but for a 144 Hz freesync this good and this cheap who really cares.
