Vacationing young woman meets man/shifter of her dreams

I really liked this steamy HEA paranormal romance between a shifter and a vacationing young woman who is largely ignored or criticized by her parents. The heroine's psyche is well-developed, with a good backstory, and the author set up the action well with the tale of the origin of Lost Creek. It was short and I was sorry the story was over so soon, but that was because it was well-written. Far better to long for more than to regret you ever read it!

Book contains a number of other stories that I have yet to read. Hope they are as good as this one was.

It took me a little bit of time to warm up to the main characters. Once I did, I could not put the blame ok down.

Poppy graduates from college and is forced to move back in with her family while working a dead end job she despised. Rather than stay home by herself, she went the rest of the family on vacation to Lost Creek. There, she meets a man and falls in love with the community and its residents. But will it be enough for her and for her love of life?

Really liked the story. In my opinion it was too short it would have been better if the book was longer. Poppy goes on vacation with her family and sees a man on the way. She than meets the man Arlo on her vacation. They seem to fall in love at first sight.

Welcome to Lost Creek. Skiers and ramblers welcome, only don't stray to the other end of town or deep into the woods after dark - you may encounter a bear or a wolf and not come back from it whole.

Lost Creek is a town with two shifter clans who do not get on - to put it lightly. Arlo is the alpha of the bear clan - The Unbroken Bears. He meets Poppy when she arrives in town for a family holiday and she walks into town to have a look around.

The wolf shifter clan - The Lost Alphas - are on the opposite side of town and Poppy learns to avoid them after meeting Arlo.

This is the first of three books in the Series. I really enjoyed getting to know Arlo and Poppy found there was an underlying story that is only hinted at in this book. The flow was smooth and easy to read.

But there are also wolves living in the town and the two groups do not get on and soon Poppy learns to avoid them. Is Arlo the man/bear for her? This is the first oin a trilogy and the way the author has established the characters I will be reading the next two eagerly!
