Don't miss this exceptional animated film!
Verified purchase
I've never left a movie review before, but this movie that I hadn't really heard about was so good I had to.

I love animated movies, especially ones by Pixar, Disney, and Dreamworks. This movie can stand with the best of them. It's a heartfelt journey with friendship, family, magic, and humor all set against beautiful visuals of China. There are little comedic gems sprinkled in that make the movie that much better (looking at you whooping snakes).

Do yourself a favor and watch this movie whether you have kids or not, you'll love it!

1. China owns Hollywood.
2. Dreamworks is part of Hollywood.
3. Pearl, a chinese production company, partnered with Dreamworks to make this film.
4. Numerous CCP agendas are obvious.
5. It is set in china and the main characters are chinese.
6. Male role models are absent. The girl's father and grandfather are out of the picture and the girl lives with her mom and grandmother.
7. The ultimate villian is an American.
8. There are virtually no one or two star reviews. 85% are 5 star with 4.8 overall and 6,532 total ratings at the time of this writing.
9. I bet this review is censored and will never be seen online.

This movie was the surprise of the year for our family. Incredible story about family, friendship, determination and grit. It’s is beautifully animated and takes you on a beautiful journey not to be forgotten. We saw it in the theatre and we’re counting the days for it to be on digital.

Its a nice movie compelling and I can tell some heart was put into making it. To be honest I can relate to Yi. My family split up I’m basically a loner and I want to go out there and explore the world

Wholesome, Wonderful Family Movie
Verified purchase
My kids and I were eager to watch the movie because it looked cute, but it was so much better than we expected! The music and artwork were fantastic and the story line was completely family friendly, sweet, funny, and just overall wonderful. It was a nice breath of fresh air too, comparing this to all the (not so) "family friendly" movies and shows being produced today that are filled with political messages or pandering to certain politically aggressive groups. I highly recommend this movie to others. You will not regret watching it.
