Great romantic comedy but really about the problems with relationships
Verified purchase
About Last Night was the second of three romantic comedies by producer Will Packer. He used many of the same actors in all three. This one featured two couples made up of Bernie (Kevin Hart) and Joan (Regina Hall) and Danny (Michael Ealy) and Debbie (Joe Bryant). Bernie and Joan can’t stand each other but can’t stay away from each other. Danny and Debbie on the other hand immediately fall in love and move in with each other, but are missing an element that leads to them breaking up. This film wasn’t as funny as Packer’s other production Think Like A Man, There were still plenty of jokes by Bernie and Joan, but it really focuses upon Danny and Debbie more. What can bring two people together that seem like they’re made for each other and then break them apart? Ealy and Bryant really hold their own in this relationship and make the whole film.

A Instant Classic! Very Good Films!

An instant classic comedy-romance film, this was a great film; even though I'm not much of a lover of romance films this one brings a little more realism than other films similar to this criteria. The special features came with some wisdom of dating and commitment and love advice from this actors and actresses that given some informative truths, which is a definition of true bonus features when actors/actresses express the truth of the motion picture and how it correlates to realism. Kevin Hart and the beautiful Regina Hall made a excellent and beautiful impact in the film (in the ways that make sense) for they both played the comedic-drama very well but their was more so a meaning of be vulnerable but a clarity of inspiration as well. Hart and Hall were the main teachers of the film, although both Joy Bryant and Christopher McDonald given the impulsing momentum of love as a training example they given very good wisdom on the Bonus features.

I have watched this movie probably 100 times. Kevin Hart is funny, but still us serious enough to make this more of a romantic movie than a comedy. The chemistry between all of the characters is palpable.

Snoozeville...not worth the rental fee.

Sigh...sigh, again. I love Kevin Hart. If a story could be driven by his funny one liners it would have saved this sad movie. The story is about...it's about...well nothing I can discern having watched half the darn thing. Major problem is the fact there's no "story" to get excited about, no character to care about. Did I say I love Kevin Hart? That's why I rented the darn movie. The other actors are in films I've enjoyed. They are all talented. But the focus is on the two weakest characters, a man and woman that are boring individually. Their scenes move like blocks of ice. Two pretty people, man and woman, can't half act. So this movie can't be saved. Do not waste your money.

I absolutely love the cast in these movies. It reminds me of Think Like A Man all over again. Perfect balance of comedy, romance and drama!

About a good movie!!

Funny from the start. Regina Hall and Kevin Hart have ridiculously funny, dysfunctional relationship comedy chemistry! Michael Daly and Joy Bryant also display an easy, believable chemistry that makes you root for them.
This movie is so much more than I thought...I should have seen it in theaters. Hart makes it a chick flick that dudes would be okay watching and be able to relate to.
I will put purchase this movie so that I can watch it when I want!! It's that good. Bad breakup? Good movie. Great relationship? Good movie. Currently dating? Good movie. Living single? Good movie.

Not really for me

This is the first Kevin Hart movie I've seen. Personally, I find his stuff on YouTube hilarious, so I figured it would be cool to watch one of his movies. Not so. The film seems very low-budget and chic-flick style. Given that it's a chick-flick, maybe I could watch it with a lady friend, right? Wrong. This movie doesn't have the level of sophistication that I would advertise to a girl with. Frankly it just has too much "guy talk" and misogynist view points. In this new economy, perhaps Hart feels that it won't take much to win over the American people; I'm not so convinced.

Watch without comparing the original and LOL!

I am a die hard 80's movie fan, because I was there. And I don't generally care for a remake of an already great movie, BUT this was hilarious. Was it like the original..not really, but close enough and portrayed dating today, verses twenty years ago..in a much funnier way. I do agree that the lead characters were not made as appealing as the original movie, but Kevin Hart brought it home.
I think it evolved into a different version of a great film, while keeping the basics the same and loved every minute of it.
