Kind of a cute film, but I didn't like the overall story very much. Some scenes are just kinda ridiculous, like sticking fluorescent tubes into the ground and having them light up(if that's actually a thing I'd be very surprised, but who would do that on a date even if it was--its just strange). The sexual tension between Scout and the guy is awkward--the directors are really in-your-face with it too. Are they friends? Is it a big brother/little sister relationship? Or will they end up as lovers? This question was never answered in the film, but a 15yo doesn't just go and shack up with a 20-something guy, along with her 8yo sister. It's very unrealistic.
Some of the scenes in the beginning have some funny moments, but it seems to get much less funny as it moves along. It tries extremely hard for "the quirky factor"--it succeeds at this somewhat, but it doesn't work well with the sexual tension. The acting is decent.
It's an OK watch.
