Kind of a cute film, but I didn't like the overall story very much. Some scenes are just kinda ridiculous, like sticking fluorescent tubes into the ground and having them light up(if that's actually a thing I'd be very surprised, but who would do that on a date even if it was--its just strange). The sexual tension between Scout and the guy is awkward--the directors are really in-your-face with it too. Are they friends? Is it a big brother/little sister relationship? Or will they end up as lovers? This question was never answered in the film, but a 15yo doesn't just go and shack up with a 20-something guy, along with her 8yo sister. It's very unrealistic.

Some of the scenes in the beginning have some funny moments, but it seems to get much less funny as it moves along. It tries extremely hard for "the quirky factor"--it succeeds at this somewhat, but it doesn't work well with the sexual tension. The acting is decent.

It's an OK watch.

Story line was very interesting. Actors characters were believable and real. The young female actors were great. Made me feel like they really were sisters. Danny Glover was good...

Not sure why all the haters left negative reviews; but it's a movie and movies are made to make us feel something. I guess it made them feel hate towards the characters... So it worked.

About Scout was well done.

I was hoping this would have been better than it turned out to be. Had Scout been less annoying, less childish, and less pathetic, and less scheming I probably would have liked her. I found myself using the 10-second skip feature constantly throughout this. It's a shame because I feel like this could have been a better movie considering they had some big names in the cast.

I didn't like the characters (children) much for all the lies and stealing they got away with, so unrealistic; as if they'd done much of that before-not likely. It's as if they owned "The Hobos Life" so they could distract dupes and rob them.
What's with the camera people shooting things upside down? Think it's funny? Not.
