I picked this dock over the 7-in-1 that INTPW offers, to have the extra two USB ports and VGA+audio cable connection, but I'm wondering if the 7-in-1 adapter would have been a better choice as there would be less of a possibility of the audio connection having issue.
If anyone figures out how to have the switch send audio through HDMI, and to get the ethernet adapter to work, please let me know.
As for the dock itself for Laptop/Phone purposes - its a nice little dock. the metal is smooth and feels nice, but I am not sure of how it would last in the longrun. It has a great pricepoint for Ethernet, four USB ports (two usb2.0 + two usb 3.0), VGA, audio port and SD readers. and the power pass-through charged my switch while it was plugged in.
Its a nice dock, if your planning for using it for a laptop, I would give it the usual amazon 5* rating. But the advertisement for using it for the switch might be just for the visuals. I might just end up getting an audio jack to make it work, but the 7-in-1 has reviews of people saying the ethernet jack works, so i am currently unsure if i will return this one.
Unfortunately, this adapter completely died after 2 months of use. It won't deliver power or data anymore. I was outside of my 30-day Amazon return window so I contact INPTW at "firstname.lastname@example.org". After a week my email went unanswered.
I have other INTPW products and they work fine, so I am hoping this is just a fluke occurrence. I will update this review if I hear anything further.
