About Alex R. Knight III
Alex R. Knight III grew up in Groveland, Massachusetts during the 1970s, and was heavily influenced by the horror and sci-fi comics of that era, rock and roll, and J.R.R. Tolkien. During 1990, Alex lived in Caguas, Puerto Rico, where he learned fluent Spanish. He began writing seriously in 1995, publishing poems, short stories, and nonfiction articles. He was a freelance arts and entertainment journalist for THE PORTSMOUTH (NH) HERALD newspaper during this period, interviewing such sixties musical legends as Richie Havens, Arlo Guthrie, and Ray Davies, among others. Alex also received a "Breaking Into Print" certificate from Long Ridge Writers Group in 1997, an intensive course study in writing short fiction and nonfiction. In 2002 he moved to southern Vermont, where he later enrolled in Union Institute and University, earning a B.A. in Literature and Writing in 2010. Alex continues to reside in the Green Mountains, where in addition to writing and an avid reading schedule, he also enjoys playing electric guitar, abstract painting, and hopes to become a skilled welder. All when he's not busy scaring the hell out of people, that is.
