This was absolute garbage. Starting off, the female lead gets assaulted by a man saying she's 'fertile' and should let him 'breed her'. She accidentally kills him but finds that her murder was observed by the lead male character. MC then goes on to demand she sleep with him or he'll tell. And she's like "Sure, no protection needed!" Surprise surprise.... She gets pregnant. Then proceeds to act offended when he starts claiming ownership of her. *snort* So ridiculous. I really wish more writers would start incorporating protection and stop playing the 'knocked-up idiot' trope. It's really old and harks back to the 50s way of thinking (she's a female, therefore she can't think for herself).

A strong, independent, human heroine is surrounded by alien men who want to "own" her. When she accidentally kills one of these greedy aliens, a bounty hunter/assassin decides to "rescue" her. A fruitful one night stand ensues, but the next morning the assassin is alone. Humorous high jinx, sexy romance, would-be kidnappers and a berserker cyborg round out this unique cast of characters. I love this series and I'm looking forward to reading more.

The story was light, doesn't get bogged down with a lot of angst, and moved quickly. No filler. Even though she never wanted a male alien for herself she only wanted her a cupcake shop she unknowingly gives him what he wants more than anything else. Visor is an unbelievable assassin and turns into a very loving and dangerous mate A very demanding one.
The story is short to the point and a delight to read
