About Alison Mitchell

Alison is a writer and trainer who has worked with young people for more than 40 years. She has a passion for helping children and families to explore the Bible, and also loves training youth and children's leaders around the UK.

For the past 16 years, Alison has been part of the editorial team at The Good Book Company (www.thegoodbook.co.uk) with a particular responsibility for children's and youth products, and also for the Christianity Explored range of resources (www.explo.red). Her book "The One O'Clock Miracle" recently won "Children's Book of the Year 2016" at the UK Speaking Volumes Christian Book Awards.

She sometimes also writes or speaks about depression, having battled with severe depressive illness for the past twelve years. It has been a hard struggle, but Alison is encouraged to have the opportunity to help others understand what depression can be like, and to help them look at it through biblical eyes.
