Alissa is an author, mother and creative. A New York City native, she earned her BA from the University at Albany with a major in Sociology and a minor in Education. She has been an Early Childhood educator for over 12 years. She has a passion for fashion, wardrobe styling, crafting and working with children.

Alissa celebrates self-love, positivity and the importance of self-motivation through her work. She is committed to writing books for children of all ages that are both self-affirming and confidence-building.

Alissa is the co-author of I Am Smart, I Am Blessed, I Can Do Anything! The book is based on a viral video of her son Ayaan’s walk to school reciting an affirmation that she taught him. It’s the story of one boy's positive energy and how a sunny outlook can turn everything around.
