JP is a beautifully twisted soul who has the divine ability to make the unbelievable, believable. A Colorado girl born and raised, she graduated with a degree in veterinary medicine and worked seven years as a full-time ER tech. Marriage and two beautiful kids later, she currently works part-time at a general practice assisting in surgeries and performing dentals. This was a suspenseful and intense novella. Rayah and her grandfather have been running from the Shifter Elite four days now. They get separated and she winds up at the zoo with a head injury and gunshot wound. This was her refuge when she was a little girl with her grandfather visiting the animals. Now Thane, the zoo’s vet, is now looking after Rayah but he’s hiding a secret from her as well. She then meets Luther who is a big flirt, that makes Thane jealous. Finally she meets West and with these three shifters and some of their friends will take on the Shifter Elite. Will the General capture Rayah again? Will Rayah finally know why she has an affinity for the shifters?

In this quick read not all the elements are there like a full fledge story, but if you can overlook that, this is not a bad tale.
Rayah and her grandfather are running from the Shifter Elite. They get separated, and Rayah ends up in the zoo which is full of...shifters!
Thane, the in-house vet, notices her first. Luther, the comic relief, also stakes a claim, and West follows up as well. I'm intrigued enough to see if the author can tie up the story as I grew fond of the characters and I wouldn't mind learning more about them.

Could Have Been So Much More

I really enjoyed this book. It had romance, action and mystery. All of which I enjoy. My problem with it is that it could have been much more informative. This is a great beginning to a much longer book or book series. The author shoves so much information into what is essentially a novella that a lot of story is lost. This book should have moved at a slower rate so that everything is not scrunched together making the big reveals essentially nonexistent.

This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I am so hooked on and can not wait to read the rest. I really enjoyed this read. The lore was a little different and I would have loved a little more background on both the lore and some of the characters. Overall it was a good read with a decent plot that has be excited to see what happens in the next installment.

loved it !!! a great start for a new series !!! love Rayah and her men Thane, Luther and West... this is their story... a fast paced action packed short story...on the run...finally making it to the Zoo. Rayah's happy place... she meets her men... can they protect her ? love the different take on shifters...

Good story

This is a good shifter story, but I really wish it was longer. Alot of things happened really quickly and I feel they deserved more explanation. But I really enjoyed the story and the great characters.
