If you are a John Grisham & Nelson DeMille fan like I am, you'll understand this. Grisham & DeMille write "page turners" and once I start them I can't put them down. Add Christina Hollerman to that list for me.
I loved the story, especially coming from a woman's perspective on what really is happening in a tragedy such as the one depicted here.
Christina made the characters come alive, you felt their hope, their loss, their despair.
While this story is, of course, fiction Christina shows the ugly side of humanity as well as those who are compassionate & humane.
Beyond a great story this made me think of the emergency that caused it all......while we would like to think that it is just a remote possibility, the "Afterward" written by Jonathan Hollerman just scares you to death and makes you wonder if we aren't all taking our life here just a little too much for granted.
Buy this book for yourself and buy one for all those that you love. Get together and talk about it after you have read it, I don't think you'll be sorry.
