I came here with a single goal in mind.
An aim.
A purpose.
I will break out of Darkmore Penitentiary.
But I was a fool to think that it would be so simple. And now with more and more Fae relying on me to get them out of this slice of hell, I find myself unable to do a damn thing.
Mason Cain stabbed me in the back and left me to rot in the dark. So now I have another goal in mind before I escape this place, because no one messes with the Queen of the Oscura Clan and lives to tell the tale. The moment I get out of here, my sights will be set on him.
Between the four alpha males luring me in, the psychopaths trying to kill me, and the monster roaming the halls at night, I have my hands full in here. But one thing is for sure. I’m not throwing my life away in this place. So I’ll do whatever it takes to escape.
This is a dark, hot paranormal romance series where the main character will end up with more than one male love interest. The series is set in the same world as Zodiac Academy and Dark Fae with some character crossover, but each series can be listened to without having listened to the other series.
This book was previously published as Darkmore Penitentiary 2: Captive Fae.

By the stars, this series is the moon and I’m Seth Capella 🌚 I think I could talk about it for days and days. And annoy everybody with the same details over and over again 👀
Rosalie is easily one of my favorite FMCs to date. And when I grow up I want to be her. In some ways she reminds me of Aelin from Throne of Glass, unapologetically herself. The guys have my heart too but I got to say that for 2/3 of this book honestly… Sin! His kind of crazy was on point 😁 Or Roary if I was reading his POV. Not surprising. Roar has been one of my favorites since Ruthless Boys 😎
Having Dante and Leon back - even if just for a couple of scenes - was the cherry on top and if we get more of them later on, I might lose it completely 🙈
I think I know what book 3’s cliffhanger will be and I’m so not OK 😭 And I wouldn’t be surprised if I had nightmares about those worms for the rest of my life 😱 The twisted sisters are the queens of RH and I won’t be convinced otherwise 🥵 Also, have I ever told you I love prison books?! Nope?! Weird. I feel like I’ve said it a million times 😉 NA. 5 stars ⭐️
P.S.: Sin and what he thinks the plan is will forever make me laugh 😂
Full of chilling realizations and exciting plot twists.

As usual, the writing style is completely flawless, weaving the story and the world effortlessly.
Rosalie softens and little bit more in this book and we see her more vulnerable side. She's her usual warrior self who doesn't take any nonsense though rest assured!
Sin gets a much bigger portion in this book to my absolute delight. He is written in such a fantastically funny way that you can't help simultaneously groaning and laughing at his antics! Plus he is all alpha male which leads to some amazing scenes 🔥
Ethan and Roary also have some growth in this one, finally starting to realise their feelings, and again some of the scenes...wow.
Cain. Oh, Cain. The guy you can't help loving to hate. Karma has a lovely part to play with him, but there are still the feelings of hope that he will be able to redeem himself.
This book also has some amazing Easter eggs that will likely devastate you as much as it did me 😂
This book is about hope and redemption. In the darkest night there will always be that glimmer shining in the distance.
I love this book so much! So sad it's over and cannot wait for the third one. ♥

I honestly don’t know how Caroline and Susanne do it, but they write the most beautiful stories that drag you completely in and have you begging for more and never wanting to leave.
Each new book of theirs becomes a firm favourite and DP2 is no exception!
DP2 has us back in the prison for the worst of the worst. Rosa is bounding hurdle after hurdle in her escape plans, each time she solves a problem another one arises. Her love life has some complications which had me yelling at my kindle for the guys to just get on board already but there are some seriously hot scenes between them all.
The humour in this book is next level so I warn you not to eat while reading! You might just choke as I did and there are a lot of little easter eggs relating to Zodiac Academy and Ruthless Boys which I loved but also have me worried.
Of course, DP2 as with all their other books ends on a mighty fine cliff-hanger so just be prepared.
Another fantastic read and DP3 can’t come fast enough!!!!

Another incredible instalment of the Darkmore Penitentiary series with tears, tantrums and OH MY GOODNESS HASTINGS. Be still my beating heart - he is just too CUTE. I think I’m broken for him!
The group therapy sessions had me howling with laughter. Roary & Rosalie had me crying. Ethan & Rosalie had me so frustrated! Sin & Rosalie had me HOT. Gustard... well he can have some of that d**k rot. Hastings needs a halo. The belorian needs its ultimate fantasy PERMANENTLY. And Claud...
This probably doesn’t make much sense: what absolutely makes sense to me is that our celestial authors are writing QUEENS. My all time favourites. What an honour for another peek into their internal monologues, the intricate, addictive worlds their minds create. And I can only urge you to dive into the second book in this series (after the first) as, I can confidently say, it is an essential.
Enjoy! And thank you Susaline for another amazing read!

The story picks up from the end of book. I love the fact that we hear from the different characters perspective. This helps make you even more invested in the characters lives and the eventual out of this story.
There is laughter, inner turmoil (mine and the characters) and a little upset over some character back stories. We delve deeper into Rosalie's history with her father and it creates anger and frustration for readers and characters.
I really enjoyed the little snippets and Easter eggs being dropped for the authors other series. These wee teases and snippets only add to the prison world and the story.
All in all its definitely more than a 5 star read but boy that cliffhanger ending.........
