The seventh story will have Nash free from Data-X labs, but definitely not free from what all went on in that facility. The only bright spot was the lioness, Denali, that they put in his cage one night, and to protect her, he was forced to mate with her, but him marking her was all on him. In book five, Alpha's Obsession, Sam helped take down Smyth and free Nash before blowing up the lab. But what happens when Intel find Denali, and Nash goes to her? This will be their reunion with surprises.
Nash may be a lion and known as the King of the Jungle, but in his mind, he is a wounded beast, a tortured soul, and his greatest fear, a killing machine. He is haunted by flashbacks of his past, especially of his time at Data-X. The only bright spot, was a beautiful lioness, Denali, one he was forced to mate, and glad that she was able to escape. But what happens when he learns she has been found?
Denali wasn’t at Data-X long, and the night she was placed with an alpha lion, Nash was a night of mixed emotions. He did everything in his power to protect her, but the guards were watching and demanded he mate her, what a shock when he marked her during that mating. She escaped soon afterward and felt guilty for not returning to free Nash. A mother’s instinct became stronger, and she knew she must protect her cub at all cost, so for years, she has stayed under the radar.
The plot will be the reunion of Nash and Denali, and for Nash, he will learn the shocking news, he fathered a cub from that one fateful night over three years ago. Denali has a son, Nolan, but as a mother, she wants to protect him, even from Nash. The one thing about Nash and Denali’s reunion, there is still that intense attraction and sexual chemistry, and when they get together, the passion takes over.
“He’s taught me love, trust, joy. Vulnerability. He fills me, satisfying me in the way I never knew I needed. Each thrust is a pact, a promise. He needs me. I need him. The mating bond is unbreakable. Our animals have chosen. Data-X may have demanded we breed, but our animals chose each other, regardless. Nash mate-marked me because we’re mates, not because he lost control under duress. In fact, Data-X did us a favor by helping us find each other. “
The more Nash and Denali spend time together, the more than want to know about each other. Nolan senses on his own that Nash is his father and wants him in his life. The three are bonding, but for how long? Will the flashbacks cause problems? Nash witnessed his own father, in a drunken rage murder his mother, and he can’t be like that, he must protect his family. When it comes to love, choices will have to be made, even if they are painful. Could this be more than a claiming, could this be love?
“If Nash is going to be in my life, in Nolan’s life, I want to know everything about him. Good, bad, and ugly.”
“Is it love or is it a lion’s claim? I ask softly. Because there’s a difference. A lion’s claim is his choice. Love is a human emotion. Does Nash even know love?”
“No, momma. His lion is sick when he’s away from us.”
“You don’t do anything. Just be. Be who you are. Be his mate. His spirit is fractured, but he just needs his missing pieces. You know what they are?”
Evil is present, and when Nolan is kidnapped, it won’t just be his parents in pursuit. No, shifters of all kinds, wolves, lions, tiger, and even a wise old owl will be involved. One from the past, Santigo, has made his fatal mistake.
“The evil has been rooted out, but there’s one final stronghold. We’ve waited long enough.” The shifters nod in unison as I declare, “It’s time to go to war.”
The story will take on the battle of good versus evil, but it will also come with an unlikely source for assistance. There will be more surprises in store. Out of the darkness, our of despair, pain, suffering, and torture, these shifters will be like the Phoenix arising out of the ashes. Joining together to right some wrongs and rid the world of evil, while allowing them another step towards healing.
The story has explicit sex scenes, mild spanking and bondage between Nash and Denali. But best of all, it has healing, a closure on the past, and happiness for the future.
