Excellent floor mats - with some adjustments
Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2017
I have a 2014 Honda CR-V and this is great - with a few adjustments. The back mat needed trimming down. I cut along the sides and a peice in the middle. See pics for descriptions. Overall I’m very pleased with this product. The mats are thick and sturdy without any strange smells that I notice.

As a person who has made countless Amazon purchases over the years and who trusts the public review process, I ordered these for my new car. At first glance when I opened the box, they looked pretty good. That said I was immediately overcome by the disgusting smell. Not a subtle smell, rather, a smell like you stuck your nose in a box of camphor or moth balls. I waited a day thinking the smell would dissipate. It didn't. Then sadly I made the mistake of putting them in my 4 week old car and leaving them in overnight. I kick myself for doing that because now my new car smell is completely lost and the disgusting smell of these mats lingers. I'm sorry Amazon, but I suspect that smell can't be good for us and you should be look into whatever chemicals are used in this production to confirm it's not unsafe. I regret this purchase. Other than the smell, I think these Amazon mats might have been okay, but no way I am keeping them long enough to find out.

Everything is good about the mats EXCEPT that they smell soooooo unbelievably BAD like petroleum or burnt rubber. On my first day of usage, I had to take them out and kept them in the trunk and drove with windows down. I’ve washed them with vinegar and dish soap, and they’re going to sit in the sun for a while. I hope the smells go away because I like the quality of the mats.
Update: it has been a week or so after I’ve washed these and hanging them outside in the sun, they still smell. I hope the smell will eventually go away. I really like the quality and would love to use these. 😔
Update 9/7/18: It has been almost 2 months out in the sun and these mats still smell!!! *sob* I can't return these because I've trimmed them to match my car's interior, so now I am stuck with these stinky mats.*sob....sigh*

Do Not Buy These!! They Smell!! Very Heavy Moth Balls or some kind of bug spray/chemical like odor. I saw other "Smell" reviews and though, How bad could it be for $17? Well ITS BAD! I aired them out for a week in my garage. You could open the garage door to the house and the smell would come into the house. I pointed a box fan at them and opened the garage door +/- a foot each day to let the air circulate. I washed them with Dawn Dish detergent and dried them in the sun, NO Help. Do yourself a favor and PASS on these mats! I bet if I had a VOC meter these would read off the charts!!

These are great rubber floor mats. These are awesome for the price especially! They fit well enough in my Rav-4 but they're not an exact fit to cover the whole area needed really. But these aren't hundreds of dollars like weather tech either so I don't expect them to fit like custom made mats that are priced way higher. You won't find a better fit at your local retail store and you'll pay double easily. These are generic and fit rather generically, but the work nicely. Mine have already withstood drink spills and wet winter mix getting tracked in everyday. They wipe up just like a rubber mat should. The groves are tedious enough to clean lol but they're wide enough to wipe in and down them to get them clean and dry. It beats gross carpet mats getting icky!

I just bought a 10th gen Honda civic a couple months back and didn't want to spend the $250 the dealer was asking for all-weather floor mats. Sure those had the Honda logo and fit like a glove, but if I could spend $16 and have it do 95% of what I was asking I would not hesitate.
Now the downside of something so cheap is that they are general floor mats and won't fit any car perfectly. If you're like me and you want something that gets the job done and is reliable, you go for it. You can cut the mats to fit...the rear mats had to be cut a bit so the center portion would fit the center hump (it is a HUGE hump in the backseat).
The main drawback of these mats is that it because my rear axel hump is so big it kind of tucks in the sides a bit. I wish they rear floor mats would go further out closer to the outboard rear, but it's not terrible and no one would sit in a way in the backseat that would cause them to put their feat outside of the floor mats.

UPDATE:
We ended up returning the mats because no amount of airing out would get rid of the nasty chemical smell.
The mats seem like decent quality and the reviews on here are really good. But I really CANNOT get over the smell! It was 90 degrees outside and yet we were driving with the windows down because the smell was too much.
The fumes are so bad that my eyes sting every time I sit in the car, and we have had it in the car for several weeks.
In fact just a few days back, the smell so unbearable, I had my husband pull over & take out the mats and put them in the trunk!
I will possibly try leaving them out for a few days or these will be going back.

I was getting ready to purchase the weather tech ones for my 2004 Volvo V70 Wagon, but then stumbled on these. SO WORTH IT! The front mats fit WONDERFULLY. The back mats are great too - I cut off the "over the hump" part, as it would have been in my wagon...and I actually use that separately in the back/hatch to put muddy shoes on after a run. Totally worth the purchase!

Poor quality mats, don't get these even if Amazon is giving them out for FREE
Reviewed in Canada on November 21, 2019Color: GrayVerified Purchase
Poorest quality rubber, made from cheap labour and cheap materials. These mats are the worst mats I've ever bought. I thought I'd buy these and they'd last me 3 years (the duration of my car lease) but they were so bad I had to return them after about 5 months. Amazon tried giving me the run-around but in the end, I was within my 1-year warranty period so they had no choice but to give me a refund.
The grooves on the mat aren't designed to handle snow and salt of Canadian winter. If your objective is to use these mats in the winter and save your good mats underneath from salt, well don't expect these to do a good job of that. They are generic size mats and don't fit well on most of the cars i.e. leave too much are unprotected / uncovered. I put them in a 2018 Honda Civic sedan and had roughly 2" on either side of the front mats uncovered.
The rear mat (all in 1 piece) is so bad that it kept sliding forward whenever a passenger got in or out of the car. Where it made contact with the metal (the one used to hold down the front seat), it actually started breaking and tearing apart.
Another problem with these mats is that they keep sliding forward i.e. they have no grip. You have to constantly keep adjusting them and pulling them back.
Stay away from this and perhaps any other AmazonBasics products.

Great floor mats
Reviewed in Canada on November 5, 2018
Lots of people on here complaining about the smell of these, and I will agree; there is definitely a strong rubber off-gassing smell with these. If that's a big concern for you, unpackage them and leave them in your yard or truck bed for a couple of weeks before installing.
The smell does fade with time and eventually go away after a couple weeks. It's most noticeable when you get into your vehicle after being parked for a while. Airs out quickly once you start driving and circulating air.
But the mats themselves are great. The biggest complaint I had with my old mats is that they shifted around waaay too much. These stay firmly planted and require 0 trimming if you're using them in a truck. If you can get over a couple weeks of rubber smell, these are a great value.

Aparentan ser más resistentes de lo que son
Reviewed in Mexico on April 22, 2021

The terrible odour emanating from the mats is so strong and makes you feel sick/dizzy!
Reviewed in Canada on November 6, 2018
These mats were a complete waste of money, as the odour from them is very strong and permeates the entire vehicle. We literally felt sick within seconds of driving with the mats installed. We then aired them out for several weeks outside, thinking it would help, but it didn’t make any difference whatsoever. We eventually had to toss them. Do NOT buy!
