Surprisingly a very good monitor arm to turn a cheaper monitor into one that can quickly achieve any position/angle/height/tilt

When I pulled it out of the box, the base felt too light and plasticy. There is just a metal disc and arm bracket and then a big plastic cover. Once I mounted the arm with two screws (allen key conveniently attached to the monitor base bottom), I noticed that it was very back heavy and would simply fall over. That was unlike every other stand that I have that came with a monitor. I pushed forward hoping the monitor weight would balance that out, and it does. Once attached, moving the monitor in all directions is excellent, height adjustment stays where you leave it, stability is very good to excellent, weight is light for easy portability, and price is reasonable. This will in fact hold 27"-28" monitors as well (tried a 27" Benq and Acer models). However, the wider the monitor the better chance the edge will make contact with the base when in portrait (largest length top to bottom) mode. Some 27s will have no issue while others may never get the tilt back to normal when in portrait mode rotation. Some with large bezels won't work at all in that mode only. I tested the Benq (GW2765) that worked but scraped the base to bezel edge and an Acer (XB271Hu) that worked perfectly without issue regardless of display/rotation mode; Acer was shorter by 1/2+ inches. You monitor mileage may vary. Still recommended for the price. If you position your monitor or chair a lot, being able to swing, pivot, adjust height, or what ever to get the best viewing angle, this replacement desktop mount works just fine.
