You Can't Beat The Price!!! Sadly, that's the only good thing here.

I needed to purchase AAA batteries for the mouse that I use with my laptop. Normally I use rechargeable batteries and had already placed a 4 pack in my shopping cart that was just over $7. Then I stumbled across these. $0.88 cents for a pack of 8. With money being very tight right now I figure two packs, 16 batteries, for $1.76 would last a couple of months. unfortunately that was not the case. I am assuming these batteries were found in the warehouse and they had an overstock of them, or something like that, and that's why they were selling them so cheap. Whatever the reason, none of the batteries had enough juice to power my mouse. As soon as I put them in the low battery indicator light came on for approximately 2 seconds and then nothing. For a $1.76 it's not the end of the world but I am somewhat disappointed that every battery was DOA and now I have to spend more money.

Cheap. Says alot. when I took the same batteries out of one of my remotes, they were bent like they melted or something. I won't buy them for a third time, for sure.

I try to use rechargeable batteries, whenever possible, as they are better for the environment, and pay for themselves, in savings over regular batteries. There are a few devices when rechargeable batteries either won’t work, or are so impractical, that you need regular batteries. The main name brands have their marketing down to a science, and they keep coming out with the newest and best regular batteries. The best of the name brands are great batteries, but the cost doesn’t really make sense. Decent regular batteries are available in value packs, like these, and even with the non ultra premium brands, the shelf life has been improved greatly. This pack of 8 batteries was comparable to a 2 pack of the top of the line name brands. Of course it is always worth checking prices, but between the rise of rechargeable batteries, and people being more conscious of the environment, regular batteries are really a great value. The best value is rechargeable, and if they will work for you, that’s the way to go. If rechargeable’s aren’t practical, these are a great value.

Last night I had trouble with my Fire TV and I wanted to watch a movie. I checked the battery on my Fire TV Remote. To my surprise, the batteries Amazon Basics seemed OK. I checked the batteries on my Insignia TV remote and they seemed OK. I took them out and put them back in. I was still having trouble. So I decided to just order new Batteries anyway. They came this morning. What I did after I ordered them was to unplug the wall electrical connection and plug it back in. Yes ! It was back in action and working fine. I use to do that with my Amazon Alexa Dot if there was a Power glitch in my area. Thank you for suck quick service and now I have plenty AAA batteries for Emergency .
