She is an avid reader of dark fantasy, horror, dystopian, and post-apocalyptic books. She tries to take the serious edge off a post-apocalyptic world by adding humor and sarcasm into her books.
She started her Southern Zombies and Fynn Young series in November 2015 with the intent of having a series centered around women who fight to survive instead of being the victims like they are often times portrayed.

The epidemic hit around the same time as the flu season began. With toxoplasmosis symptoms resembling the flu, it was wrongly assumed that there was an influenza pandemic under way.
Pressure from higher offices forced the CDC to begin working on a vaccine specifically created for this new virulent virus. The virologists worked diligently for weeks on a vaccine that would prevent the virus from overwhelming the infected one’s immune systems and making the symptoms worsen.
Finally, they were ready to introduce the limited supply of their new vaccine to the masses. In an attempt to limit the spread of infection as quickly as possible, they made a few mistakes. First, they used the cell-based production process and never purified the virus antigen, second, they never tested the vaccine, and finally, they thought they had a virus pandemic, when in fact, it was a parasite infecting the masses.
Citizens lined up to get their vaccines. Clinics, hospitals, and any place where one could get a flu shot were over run. People fought their way through the hordes to receive their shots.
Approximately three hours after receiving the vaccine, the immune systems of the recipients were devastated by the parasite. They died an agonizing death racked with fever, chills and bouts of coughing that produced blood filled sputum.
Unfortunately, the vaccine had one side effect worse than death that no one had counted on.
Within thirty minutes of death, the dead began to rise. Friends and families were so stunned and grateful that they had been given a second chance with their loved ones that they didn’t realize their loved ones were no longer human, so they tried to comfort the ones who were falling ill. Most would not survive these encounters.
Will humanity ever be able to pull itself from the dregs of this new world?
The world we live in now is one where you have to fight or die. There are no exceptions. Sometimes, fighting against the people who want to take what you have is harder than dealing with the zombies. How can you survive against a twisted humanity?
Find out how a family of southern women have made it their mission to keep their loved ones safe in this new world.
The zombies are slowly disappearing. But are they hibernating? Becoming inanimate? Rotting and decomposing? We don’t know.
People haven’t changed. Well, let me change that. They have changed. For the worse. The remaining population seems to think they are owed something. So, instead of rebuilding, they steal, kill, rape and pillage.
The world we live in now is one where you have to fight or die. There are no exceptions. The only thing we can do is continue on and try to rebuild.
I was born in 1901. If you guessed my age to be 114 years old, you are correct. So how am I still alive? I am a female wolf shifter. When I was 24 years old, I learned I had a unique gift. I could change into a black wolf. I will forever look as though I am in my early 30s now. Being a shifter is something I have struggled with for 90 years. Coming to terms with it, I mean. I live in the South and I haven’t come into contact of any of my kind but once and he was no help. I don’t want to live in a pack, although they say packs are healthier and are more adjusted. I don’t have very much information as far as being a wolf shifter. I don’t know anyone else like me. So while I do my tracking, I also look for people like me who can hopefully answer my questions.
I do know a little about what I can do.
I can shift anytime; I don’t need a full moon.
Silver does hurt very badly and will kill a shifter if it isn’t treated immediately. I don’t kill humans when I shift, I hunt for small game animals. I do love dogs. I actually have a dachshund named Riley.
And as far as I know, there is no cure for what I have since I was born a shifter. When I shift, I transform into a 110-pound female wolf with hazel green eyes and thick dark brown, almost black fur.
I chose to use my, curse, as I call it, for good. I track down missing people. People who may be missing by choice, or who may not be. I also track children who are lost, kidnapped, or are runaways.
I work alongside my trusting companion Riley and two other friends.
This is our story.
Will they release the captives?
Will Mason listen to his wolf after 100 years alone and let his heart love again and make the woman he has fallen for his mate?
Will Fynn finally show Nic her true feelings for him?
Find out in this exciting sequel to Absolving Evil - A Fynn Young Series.
Dominic Lenzi is Fynn’s partner in the tracking business and her best friend for the last twenty years. When she goes missing, he’s determined to find her and make those who have taken her pay for their mistake.
Nic has never loved any woman the way he loves Fynn. The problem is, she doesn’t know. And now he may never get the chance to tell her.
He enlists Claire, the witch whose daughter is missing, and Fynn’s friend Jade in a hunt that will lead down a dark unholy path.
People who were infected with the toxoplasmosis parasite displayed symptoms of the influenza virus. So almost everyone thought we had a flu epidemic going around. People getting the flu vaccine already had a weakened immune system thus pushing them further into sickness with the live flu vaccine. This somehow sent the toxoplasmosis parasite into over drive and caused it to wreak havoc. It turned people into the walking dead.
Our outbreak started with a recall of beef and pork suspected of being contaminated with the toxoplasmosis parasite.
This is our story of survival.
