Trust is a hard thing to gain from a person. Arrogant monster will show you how trusting the wrong person can lead to misunderstandings or sometimes more dyer situations. Daniil and kinz have an automatic connection and no matter the years apart; they experience a love that cannot be thrown away. There’s plot twist throughout the entire book. It transports you into there scene and dark underworld and make you feel you can’t just get enough of it all. You feel every emotion coming through the story. I’m excited to see how part 2 ends their love story.

Kinsley ran from her wedding. Her fiancé was verbally abused her and had smacked her. All she knew was she had to get away from him. She was not paying attention when she was driving between crying, freaking out, and making sure no one was following her, she crashed the car. As she was getting out of the car she slide down the bank of the river and fell into the river. With her wedding dress on it was heavy and she was being dragged down under the water. She had accepted that she was going to die. She woke up cough out water and found the most handsome man had rescued her.
Daniil had just escaped jail and was hiding in the woods because the police were searching for him. He happened to find Kinsley in the river and pulled her out. Once he knew she was going to be okay they got into her car and started driving. She found out that he was the one that the police was looking for, but she felt safe with him. As they were talking she asked questions to figure out who he was but he never gave her a straight answer. She said that he was speaking in riddles. As they were hiding in the woods until the police presence died down, Kinsley opened up more and was getting more frustrated with Danill as he would not do the same. She felt a pull to him and she got on his lap and he gave her one of the best orgasms in her life. Afterwards, he insisted that she’d get some sleep in the following morning when she woke up, he was gone.
It had been ten years and she was driving and was ran off the road. When she got out to confront the other driver she was shocked to see it was Daniil. She never forgot about him as he was the father of her daughter. Will she tell him he is the father? What will she do to find out he is a Don of a Bratva?
I really enjoy Nicole’s book. This is book one and the cliff hanger made me start reading book two right away.

I like reading mafia books, some are really good, some not so much. This was decent. I’ll certainly read the next book in the series. The banter was good. Sometimes the time lapses in a scene didn’t make sense, like minutes went by in a conversation and then it’s hours later. But other than that it was good.

This was a decent mafia story. I liked the characters and how there was a time jump from the first encounter to the "action". However, like with the last few books I read from Nicole Fox, I wanted more. Story was more about their "romance" and had hardly any mafia action in it at all. With personal opinion aside, book was good and that's why I gave 4 stars still. I just like darker mafia stories or at least more mafia action when I chose to read a mafia story.

The story flows as readers are taken on the journey of the meaning of family, love, parenting… can Daniil and Kinsley admit that their moment in the woods was the most important moment, not just because of Isla, but because they fell in love. Just when readers are lulled into thinking HEA.. old Bratva feuds, a mean-spirited ‘teacher’, a kidnapping and and and… off to read BOOK2…if we al want to know what happens! A true page-turner…

This first book in this new series from Nicole Fox is an amazing ride. It is filled with secrets, betrayal, trust, fate, and love!

We get to meet Daniil when he is on the run. He is mysterious and there is a sense of danger about him. When he saves Kinsley from drowning he never thought she would leave such a lasting impact on him after just 1 night together.

Kinsley ran from a man she never should have trusted just to be met by a handsome, sexy, dangerous, mysterious man who saves her from the river.They spend 1 night together and she doesn’t see him again until 10 years later.

A lot has happened to both of them in 10 years. However, the anger, passion; lust, & need is there for both of them but they are both stubborn. There are so many secrets and hidden truths between them that there is no way to know if they can survive once everything is brought to the surface. This book is filled with mystery and intrigue. There is also a huge cliffhanger at the end so run to Book 2 to see how it all will unfold. Daniil will not go down without a fight and he will stop at nothing to protect those that mean the most to him! Happy Reading!!

A good Bratva romance with lots happening that keeps your interest. There is a good storyline with interesting characters Kinsley a young naive woman who is quite emotionaly damaged by her upbringing with an abusive father and a mother who committed suicide runs away on her wedding day after her husband to be hits her. She ends up in a whole heap of trouble and is saved from drowning by a dangerous hunk of a man Daniil spher life changes significantly from that point as she finds herself pregnant and alone. He suddenly stumbles back into her life and secrets have to come out. He is a dangerous man with enemies and that comes out with a vengeance and we are left with a cliff hanger leading in to the next book.

The problem I have with Nicole Fox books is that once you start reading you don’t want to stop. I couldn’t put this book down, the book was different to her others, in that there was more of a story and less sex but I liked that, the characters were quite different and Daniil is so intense you just want him. You will not be disappointed with this book and now I can’t wait to start the next one.
