Yes, I was using Arrow staples. I don't abuse my tools, but I'm not happy with this one not being able to function with less than 200 staples put through it; the last fifty of those had to be pulled out with a needlenose.
If you're a big, burly girl or guy, with basket ball player hands, This is the tool for you. If you're a small woman with equally small hands, go for a stapler that's smaller--and hopefully that comes with at least some starter staples.
I cannot speculate as to the spray or oily substance, however the staple gun does appear otherwise as advertised and I have trusted ARROW before for use when I have needed any of their products, so I will offer them the benefit of the doubt, based on previous purchases from them, otherwise I would have given a 5 star I would recommend this product.

On one day a month of intense use, so about 30 days total intense use in its lifetime, it has become completely unreliable, no longer firing staples (jams all the time) and the spring now no longer engages properly (misfires).
So I ordered a new one.
This is as bad in terms of jamming as the old one, and the handle really does require some pushing to fire the staples.
It seems Arrow (from the USA) have forgotten how to make staple guns. I'm using - always use - their genuine Arrow staples.
Have now ordered a Rapid (made in Sweden) staple gun which takes the same size staples...
Why is it called 'Heavy Duty'? It might cope with 6mm staples on a good day!
Same T50 but after using it to set apx 50 staples internal spring link? broke. Now returned after only two weeks.
I was using small Arrow staples.3/8th inch. into softwood.
What else is there on the market???.
