I like Wesley Snipes, and the movie kept me guessing if only about one detail. But about half-way through the negatives began to outweigh the positives so I skipped ahead to answer my one question. They are: the beginning of the movie doesn't quite make sense. The music is terrible. The fight scenes that clearly have Snipes in are pretty rudimentary for him, and those that supposedly show more sophisticated skills are shot in shadows, so one can't tell for sure. The shadows also suggest a body double. Some scenes are just silly from a logically pov, but then that's true of many of these types of movies. A few of them stick out, however, as scenes that might have been written for one of Chuck Norris less-stellar movies than a B-level Snipes movie
Snipes fans might remember the original 'Art of War' movie from back in 2000. It was a Snipes classic. The second installment looks more like a tired old. Steven Segal movie with fight scenes taking place in darkened stairways, with the actual fighting blurred out by the darkness. To say the plot is thin would be an understatement, the dialogue was tacky, and the action scenes just don't cut it. Snipes should be feeling ashamed to have his name tied to this movie.
I can't abide this movie. As Dave said in his Two Star rating the fighting was condensed into darkened stairwells and weird places that made it difficult to tell friend from foe.
I did not like how all of his friends were killed off in the middle-end of the movie. The relationship he had with his buddy could have been better developed and the double betrayal I ABSOLUTELY HATED! To see the movie producer be the bad guy I could accept, but when the girl was shown to be an integral part of orchestrating everything I did not buy it. Why would she have even had to save his life when she did earlier in the movie?
At first this started off well but I'm still angry at the SWAT team murdering all of his friends! Especially that pretty Asian girl! I hate to see women killed off in these films and for this was also done in the prequel. Indeed, Snipes does a killing of a beautiful woman too! I hate that. I give this film barely Two Stars. Buy it and combine it in the same case as Part One because the original is so much better. I'm the 107th person to review this pedestrian film.
The plot had so many holes. Story was stupid. The congressman that got killed was often referred to as the senator. The worst of all, the martial arts scenes were intolerable. Save your time, skip this one.
I had a long day at work and wanted to veg out a bit with some brain dead tv. Well, this movie was great. In a little more than 10 min, I was fast asleep. The boring, first year film school dialog and cheesy effects made it a perfect little movie to sleep by. Recommend it to anyone with insomnia.
I like the shooting. I like the punching and kicking. I like the technology even though it was 2008. One gun has some pretty large projectiles. I like Martial arts violence occasionally; I work it into my watching experience. I will use this as a template for future movie selection. I'm grateful for Amazon Prime. One day yall will charge what it is worth; I will pay whatever.

This was so bad, I hope snipes was able to pay the IRS with this steaming pile. Maybe it was an accounting scam to show a loss and get some kind of tax credit. Everything about this movie sucked. Bad plot, bad acting, bad camera work. Just bad.

Not for me, this one. Everything was just meh. Except the fight scenes which were hilarious. Maybe if I'd seen this back in the day rather than a week ago, I might have thought better of this film... but I didn't, so I can't.

The Art Of War 2 - Betrayal [DVD] - Wesley Snipes. Another great movie from Wesley! He has made so many top notch movies, I am collecting them bit by bit of Amazon! The Blade Trilogy is one of my favourite boxsets! 10 out 10 from me. :-)
