Better than most low budget films

I really enjoyed this one, so much so that its on my "To Buy" list as of now. The characters are real and the special effects are much better than average. Not perfect, but there are a few surprises I didn't see coming. There are also some extremely effective jump scares that are in just the right quantity. I only gave if four rather than five stars because at heart it Is a virtual carbon copy of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers, though with a few differences due to likely copyright reasons. My biggest gripe is that they never really Explain how things get started (Not pods exactly, but no spoilers). The ending was also unexpected and worth it. All in all, worth your time.

Wasn't great, but wasn't horrible either.

As soon as this film started playing I got really worried. Normally anything put out by Gravitas Ventures is complete garbage and as soon as I see those two words I close the film and move along, but I rented this one without knowing who it was by and felt like I needed to at least attempt to get my money's worth.
For a Gravitas Ventures film it was surprisingly good. The acting was not the normal ultra B-rate garbage that they normally put out there that condones the running for hills as soon as you see their logo bad. The acting was actually watchable. The characters were not horrible and the plot was decent.
It was reminiscent of body snatchers, but decently done.

I liked it but didn't love it.Yes,it was a rehash of body snatchers but so what? How many zombie movies have you seen?Vampires?Frankenstein?Possesions? Demonic children, dolls or houses?Last man on earth or I am Legend? Same story, different title.I enjoyed it for what it is.It was well acted, nicely filmed and the plot kept me interested.Thats what I look for in a movie and thats what I got so job well done.Maybe I'll go watch a teenagers in the woods with a serial killer loose movie next.

Teen led Body Snatchers
Verified purchase
Another take on Invasion of the Body Snatchers, this one led by three teens. Honestly I wasn't expecting much but this was actually pretty decent. It's hard to rate something like this without comparing it to the 50s classic and the very well done 70's version (oh, and what was that one with Nicole Kidman). However this is one of the better on the cheap imitators. The three teen leads all did a good job and there wasn't enough time to fall into the usual teen stereotypes. Enough changes to the story were made to keep it interesting.

If you have to compare it to the original, you may be a little disappointed but if you can let it breath on it's own it is a pretty good way to spend 93 minutes.

This movie reminded us of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It's pretty descent to watch.... a lot better than some of the crap that's out there. Shipping good... no issues here.

You'll have to suspend actors age disbelief 🤦‍♂️
Verified purchase
For what it is, it is a decent watchable flick. If you want to zone out, and watch something cool, I recommend this along the same vein as "The Faculty". The absolute worst factor, is that you keep being dragged out of the movie, by the fact that every single character is obviously between the ages of 28 and 49. Not good when it is a movie about high school 🤷‍♂️

The actors are good because they did their best with the lines that were given to them. Even if people say that the story of this movie has been done before, it doesn't matter. New faces, new twist. Those who give negative reviews don't understand how movie works. I support films like this. The backbone of holly wood.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers Redux

I have seen The Body Snatchers when I was teenager and it was pretty scary, altho it wouldn't be nowadays, not after the bloody movies nowadays. This movie is a similar example of the Body Snatchers.
It has good actors, it was suspenseful and not bad at all.
