My DVD was blank.

I bought this DVD because we were going on a camping trip this July and the car ride would be close to 28 hours each direction. My kids loved the first movie, and I KNEW they would love the second. It was quite a disappointment to find that there was nothing on this disc. We tried it on our computer and also on our home DVD player.....nothing. And since I ordered it back in January, it has missed the return date. I would love a replacement...... Otherwise, I'm sure the movie is great....but I'll be careful not to order anything further from this vendor.

Not as good as the original but passable entertainment for kids

This is more like a series of shorts or like a failed attempt to start an after-school cartoon series for the Atlantis characters. It's cheesy and the story line is weird and choppy. The animation is second rate but that's not uncommon in direct-to-video sequels. The characters seem to have more 2-dimensional personalities instead of the more interesting and developed ones from the original. However, Atlantis (the original) is one of my sons favorite movies so for him it's a way to return to his favorite characters and story in a different set of adventures. He would give it a 4 maybe even a 5 but I gave it a 3. It's passable entertainment for children but I doubt many adults will be enthralled by it.

The second movie is nowhere near as good as the first one

The second movie is nowhere near as good as the first one, but sequels rarely are. This movie is actually a three part mini story series chronicling Milo and Kida's adventures on the surface of the world outside Atlantis. It's not in any way a bad movie, it just lacks the wonder of a lost civilization and a dorky linguist saving the day that the first one had.

Not as great as the first one

Not as great as the first one! Really don't even come close to it at all. But if your like me you will just love it for Kida and Milo. And the Adventures they go on in this DVD. Somewhat reminds me of Scooby-Doo. But in a good way. Plus I love Scooby-Doo so no big deal to me. Overall still very good!!!

Negative reviews are due to expectations - if you expect too much you'll be disappointed, if not, it's a fun watch

I'm seeing a lot of reviews here that totally blast this cartoon. Let me say this, there has NEVER been a disney cartoon sequal that equals out to what the original is. That is Disney's MO (whether or not it's intentional, i don't know). Every single sequal that Disney has ever put out, the artwork completely does not match what the original one was, the actors for the voices, are never the headliners they had in the original, and the sound/songs are never high budget. You have to remember, that when a studio goes to direct to DVD, they will not invest in the high budget that the original had. The quality of these direct to dvd movies, is pretty much roughly just like a TV cartoon.

So, if you expect a blockbuster - don't buy it....but if you know what you're getting into, it's a fun little flick.
