Found it on BookTok, read it through KU, and couldn't even put it down in the ER. My head was in excruciating pain, it hurts to move my eyeballs or neck, and there was some technical terms I didn't pick up as quickly as I normally would. Despite this, I had to keep reading. I think it's safe to say I definitely recommend this book.

It is a second chance romance with spice...and it is quality spice.
It isn't the first book in the series and definitely isn't the first book in the world that Brittney Sahin has created.
The characters from previous books appear and build upon previous actions, situations, and experiences. Despite this, you don't have to read them in order and you won't feel like you are jumping into the deep end. This is the first I've read of Brittney and I certainly didn't feel that way.
These characters get under your skin, even the support characters. The relationships among everyone feel real and you get all the feels.

I stopped reading once I hit a racial slur.This book is set in "bama", where this slur is used, so I find it hard to believe it was an accident. The lead up to the sentence had nothing to do with ghosts or other "spooky" beings, no other reason for this word to be included.Disgusting.
