Yardley can do anything wedding related! Make a bouquet, calm down a bride, decorate anything to achieve the client vision of their perfect day, but find love for herself no time. She has a wonderful group of friends that together they can get through anything. In walks Travis the brother of one of her brides. His main goal is to make his sister’s big day perfect. Since his parents untimely death he has taken the role of protector for his sister Sheena. In the process of planning Sheena’s wedding Travis and Yardley keep being thrown together and under the watchful gaze of the citizens of Cemetery they begin to fall in love. Cemetery is full of western charm and electic characters.
As a wedding planner, Yardley knew everything about how to put things together to make the happy couple feel special on their wedding day. And she did that while dealing with her bitter mom and aunt, and while thinking a happily ever after was just not in the cards for her...
The Honeymoon Cottage is all about hopes and dreams, friendships, family, love, and growing as a human being. I loved all of it, the romance between Yardley and Travis first of all, but also the secondary characters' romances, from Yardley's best friend Mimi and her husband Kevin with their baby-daughter Sammy, to Travis' sister Sheena and her fiancé Todd.
The writing is so well done, and the story unfolded seamlessly at a perfect pace, which made it all the more enjoyable.
