Delightful!

Dana Delaney is the owner of Scoops, an ice cream shop in Eternity Springs and it's always busy. Celeste Blessing is the town guardian angel who has a special gift to know what people need or want. Russ Buchanan is the Hot Scot, a visiting college student who has all the women in town swooning. Dana needs an extra hand in the ice cream shop and Celeste is there to ask if she can take Russ on as an employee. What a coup! Russ brings in all the customers, just to see his handsome face and to hear his sexy accent. Callum Buchanan, Russ's older brother, is a top-shelf sports agent who is in Eternity Springs to find the perfect place for one of his clients who wants to propose marriage. Callum is competitive with his brother, Russ, and soon they are in the middle of a contest to see which of the brothers can sell more ice cream cones. It's a great premise and it's actually quite sweet with how the Hot Scots (plural) are able to charm the townspeople. The anniversary celebration at the end is a sweet touch and the way Cal twists it is even better! Andi Arndt and Dave Gilles do a wonderful job with the narration. I have to admit that I was a little lovestruck by Dave's hot Scottish accent!

Fun and sexy sweet romance

I really liked this story and its sweet, and funny. Eternity Springs loves a good romance and Celeste Blessing is back to work her “magic” when she Scoops Ice Cream owner Dana Delany in the path of ‘a hotter Scot’ Cal Buchanan, who is the brother of one of her employees. He is a sport agent and he is in town to visit is brother and work on a special project that he asked Dana to help him with. As they are working on this the chemistry between starts to sizzle and will melt the ice cream Dana is famous for.

This was a quick listen and it kept me engaged in the story. It was sexy, sweet and had all the things we love about Eternity Springs. To be truthful I am not a big fan of audio books, so when I listen to one that keeps me interested, it’s one I will want to listen to again. It’s always a bonus when you love the series by this author.

Perfect for an afternoon of leisure

It had been a while since I read a story by this author and Eternity Springs and this audio left me wanting to return to the town where family, love, and hope exist.
In this story we get to meet Scoop’s ice cream parlor owner Dana Delaney.
Now that the summer is here, she needs help and in comes a young Scottish man to help. But when he gets sick, his brother, Cal Buchanan, former star athlete and now a sports agent, comes to the rescue.
From the moment they meet, the attraction is evident. But Cal is in town only for a couple of weeks and Dana is not going anywhere.
Will the summer not only be a successful one for business but also for finding love in this idyllic town?
This was another “feel good” story in Eternity Springs. An audio perfect for an afternoon of leisure.

Fun and romantic summer story with Hot Scots!!

The Summer Melt has everything you will love for a beach read: ice cream, a wonderful Colorado small town, hot Scots, a romantic engagement plan and lots of fun and romance. The dual narration with the swoon-worthy Scottish narrator for Cal and the female narrator who is perfect for ice cream shop owner Dana works very well. I especially love that Dana swears using ice cream flavors that she names after Colorado features! Cal is sexy and romantic and he competes with his younger brother to see who is the hottest Scot in town. Lots of fun and love in this one!

Back to Eternity Springs!

Returning to Eternity Springs is a great way to start off the summer. Spend some time with Dana and her hot Scot, as they get to know each other. Travel around beautiful Eternity Springs, and get to know some of the people that live in this beautiful Colorado mountain town. This novella can be listened to as a stand alone, or as part of the series.

It was fun to go back to Eternity Springs, and I hope both old and new readers of this series enjoy meeting some of the inhabitants. I sincerely hope that Emily March writes more novels in this series.

Such fun!

I knew I was going to get caught up in some 105 degree, leaving town before a holiday, rage-inducing traffic, so I wanted a good listen for the drive home. I was delighted to find the new novella by one of my favorite authors, Emily March. “The Summer Melt” sounded like just what I needed.

But should I wait and listen to it at home in my garden, where I could sit in the shade in front of two fans and enjoy it while I sipped from a tall glass filled with mint and ice and whatever else I found in the cupboard? Nope. I turned on my car's motor, my car's air conditioner, and cued-up the novella.

The story immediately transported me to the charming, small-Colorado town of Eternity Springs. As usual with this author's tales, the characters were both likable and fun and the story line was a blast.

Romance, a Hot Scot, and Rocky Road ice cream. A perfect summer listen.

Clunky but good

The narrators were great. The writing style is first and second person intermingled which makes the story sound clunky and stilted. I did enjoy the characters and I did enjoy the story line but it was a little compact and short on substance. I usually listen to longer books but for the length of this one it was a great time distractor.

I just listened to Emily March’s The Summer Melt. It was so fun returning to Eternity Springs. This was a super cute story, and I would’ve loved to have it be longer … how about a sequel! Emily’s books are always a joy, and I will be looking forward to the next one!
