Avengers: The Age of Ultron is the sequel to the fourth highest grossing movie of all time. At the risk of over-hyping it any more, I can say it's probably the best Marvel movie to date. It manages to be action-packed, dramatic and even very funny in all the right places.
After the Avengers lead a successful raid against a Hydra outpost, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) revives his secret peacekeeping program Ultron (voiced by James Spader) to help safeguard the planet from evil. However, Ultron interprets the idea of keeping Earth safe as a need to eradicate humankind from existence. Ultron shortly escapes from Stark's laboratory to act out its mission and it's up to the Avengers, along with their new allies, the twins Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) to stop Ultron from carrying out this genocidal act.
Even though it is darker than the first film, Avengers: The Age of Ultron is still able to capture the charm and humour from its main characters that we have grown to love over the years. Tony Stark is still as witty as ever, delivering his trademark hilarious one-liners and Hawkeye's (Jeremy Renner) scenes have some of the most poignant moments in any Marvel film. But perhaps the biggest surprise were the twins Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, who played a much more important role than I thought they would. There's rarely a dull moment.

AWESOME! My kids are 10 and 11, and they loved it. We have recently become Avenger/Marvel fans. It has a few dark moments and hints of SC. In one scene a man loses an arm, but it doesn't show blood and gore. And in one scene a quit picture of an executed prisoner goes across screen showing a word written in blood behind him. As for SC...the character of Tony Stark is notorious for one liners that went over my kids' heads, but are nonetheless there. I personally found it family friendly, but each person will have decided for themselves. It is action packed from the moment it begins. And we always love how each Marvel movie ends with a hint of the next movie in the sequence. I love the story line, I love the moral-to-the-story, and I love how it is written.

Age of Ultron is as exciting, action-packed, and hilarious as the first one but just in a different way. This one has more of a darker, doom feel to it as Avengers are battling a foe created by one of their own and the creation is out to annihilate them and humankind. There are classic moments of sassy conversations and camaraderie between the characters. The action sequences are great. The ending is somewhat conclusive (at least with the Ultron issue) but leaves viewers wanting to know the next step in the Avenger's plan. And we all knew Thanos had to face our heroes sooner or later...!

Fun, great graphics, enough humor built in to offset the dark side and the violence. We are also made aware of the vulnerability and humanness of the characters from Stark to Banner. What a cast, topped off with Spader's wonderfully sinister voice. Our family is totally into Sci Fi. We love the Avengers and Shield. Both parents and children grew up with Marvel comics, so it is a wonderful time for us to enjoy an evening together. We bought the video because of the cost factor. Buying it once is less expensive than going to the theater and we can see it as many times as we wish, which will be pretty often.

When I first starting watching the Avengers movie on my Smart television, the quality of the picture and sound was horrible. There was a notice before the movie indicating there may be an issue with bandwidth, but since my TV is almost new, I did not worry about it. I became frustrated and gave up about 30 minutes into it; and regretted I spent $20. However, when I decided to view the movie again on my desktop computer, picture and sound quality were excellent. I enjoyed the movie and the behind the scenes feature immensely. Would love to watch it again on the television.

When the first Avengers was released the bar for super-hero movies had been set higher than ever before. Not since the first Superman flick was released with Chris Reeve had this type of movie so hit it out of the park.

It's a delicate thing to bring comic book heros to the big screen. It requires the creative team behind it have a respect for and at least some idea of the spirit behind the characters. In phase one we were introduced to and came to know these characters so that when they were brought together in Avengers the chemistry between them worked well. When changes are made from the source material it can work as long as it is not to great a change and stays with the spirit of the original stories.

Most of the negative reviews for Age of Ultron seem to be about too much action, too many explosions, too much CGI etc. At least this makes better sense than re-hashing the origin stories all over again (Spider-man, Fantastic Four). People were also somehow offended by the romance building between Black Widow and Bruce Banner.

I must admit that to some degree I found the action a little bit overloaded. But I expect that when I watch this again in the future I will catch items that I may have missed the first time through.

As for Natasha and Banner, it allows us to see the humanity and pain of these characters and that is deeper and more revealing that the Hulk just joyfully smashing and Black Widow shooting. As a man with a potentially dangerous affliction must avoid getting too close to anyone and Black Widow was trained to be a killer from childhood.

As the Marvel Universe continues to widen we will see more amazing characters like Thanos.

I thought that this movie was pretty good, the story is different to the one in the comic books, but that is no surprise, since they seem to be doing that with most of these movies. Age of Ultron is better than Avengers assemble because it has a bigger scale than it's predecessor, the actors seem to be having fun with it, what I mean by that is that they seem to be more comfortable than they were in the first one, and the story in my opinion has more to it. If you are a fan of the Avengers, then I highly recommend this movie.

The movie is great, with stunning visuals in 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos in the 7.1.4 setup. This movie laid a very important foundation for Endgame. Check the images I uploaded. This movie set comes with a slipcover as well so that's great!

Edit: the standard bluray disc in the pack is defective one, so I suggest everyone to please check if you receive all your discs in perfect condition immediately after you receive the movie.

Despite my initial mixed response to the film even after multiple viewings in the cinema. I've come to appreciate this Sequel with time. It's not a perfect film but there's enough to it that makes it worth owning and watching. The cast is great and even though Ultron is a bit underused as a villain he still is great with the little they do with the character. I love seeing Scarlet Witch and Pietro as part of the Avengers and the action scenes are what you'd expect from an ensemble in an Avengers film.

Brian Tyler and Danny Elfman accentuate an already brilliant film with fantastic score.

Now we just have to wait for Captain America Civil War.
