"The authors' palpable love of supernatural cinema is infectious; horror fans won't want to put this down."—Publishers Weekly
A short fiction anthology of horror and psychological thrillers, Tales of Blood and Squalor depicts wretched, low-class characters living in filth and poverty. With misery and blood.
A novelist a tad too committed to realism in her craft, a tourist thirsting for blood, the king of a trailer park dungeon... These fourteen stories from Dark Cloud Press will scare you, shock you, and make you reel.
Every story opens with: "Kelvin pressed against the wound as blood seeped around his hands."
And ends with: "Watching the train disappear into the night, he brought the flower to his nose before tossing it to the tracks."
This anthology is the amazing results.
Now, prepare yourself for the wonders you'll find BETWEEN THE LINES.
For generations, we have been fascinated with cases surrounding serial killers, stalkers, abusers, homicidal maniacs and cold cases. Some still remain unsolved, and some are just now being written.
Within the pages of this anthology you will find sixty stories of horror that shed the spotlight on the evil which lurks within.
Featuring over twenty award winning authors from all across the globe, this new stunning collection of never before released visceral horror aims to prove that there is nothing deadlier on this planet than the people we meet.
Other tales will show a different side to vengeance and justice and make you question whether or not good and bad even exist.
And by the time you are finished you will be forced to realize the dark truth:
There is a killer in all of us.
But we didn't stop there. One of the creepiest stories came to light and grew on us, so we added it as a bonus at the end.
Let us give you Balloon Animals to take Beyond the Dead and trade it for some Dark Matter. Use your Peepers for the Eye is the Mirror and hold The Absent Hand while you walk Six Miles to Bastogne to The Last Resort.
