This is painful to watch. I am so tired of low budget LGBTQ+ content being so horrific. This is worst than a student film done in Jr. High. So sad our community does not utilize the talent that we have. Poor production value. Cheesy writing. Poor acting. It would be different if this was from 90s, but 2016? Just excruciating to watch!

And I feel I need to call out Amazon Prime video. There is a much better LGBTQ+ content to have on your platform. Be Better!

1.0 out of 5 starsA total waste of $2.99

This started out pretty bad - terrible acting, totally unoriginal story and situations, silly background music and lousy sound quality overall. I thought it had nowhere to go but up. Wrong. It kept going and going in that same vein and getting worse and worse. Jack was more dense than the usual hapless guy in love with his best friend (Matt) but afraid to tell him. There's the jealous, mean girlfriend (played by the only actor in the whole movie who demonstrated some talent). There's the melodramatic revelation to Matt of his true feelings, and his devastation when Matt reacts badly. There's his realization that the new guy (Peter) has been trying to become his friend since they met. Jack has a flash of insight into the fact that he has lived his life exclusively around his devotion to Matt and finally responds to Peter's overtures. The End

3.0 out of 5 starsNot Worth Paying For, But OK

This movie had an OK story, but its not something I would pay for again. For something made in 2016, the production values were below that of a half way competent YouTube Channel. This video looks like it was shot in 480p and the sound editing is worse than what I would do as a novice. I mean, it takes what, $300 to buy a 1080p camcorder, a tripod and a boom mic? Its not like production values takes that much money for something shot in the last 10 years.

The story was decent, if not half baked. The third character, Peter, should have gotten fleshed out more. I couldn't tell if he was there to be a stand in for the audience or start a love triangle, and I don't think the writer really knew what he was doing with that character. The story between the two main characters was good, the high school girlfriend was spot on, I have had that experience before. The one thing I don't like was that they cast a Latino family and made their last name McKay. How hard is it to change their last name to Rodriguez or something?

3.0 out of 5 starsNo frills, good story.

The movie was low budget and lacked quality but the story-line was fairly solid. Acting was fair for the main characters. This is a tough review because while I liked it, I know many will hate it. If you are worried about perfect lighting, sound and top notch acting, you probably won't like it. If you can ignore that and get into the story and somewhat relate, you'll probably enjoy it.

1.0 out of 5 starsSave your $2.99

This was so bad, I begrudge the $2.99. Horrible acting, (with the exception of the girlfriend) and worse directing. Everybody is either shouting their innane lines for no reason, or delivering long, complicated speeches like they are reading them for the first time off index cards. Can't let the tech off the hook, either, from odd choices of songs in the background, to loud, crunchy mic sounds to strange editing. ( why are there 3 fades of a character walking up the street toward us? He gains about a yard each time.) And the story itself didn't do a particularly good job of delivering it's trite message- good friendships should last forever, even if one of you may or may not be gay. Also, all mothers are instantly understanding while father's yell a lot and are dense. The end.

Gay guys do sometimes fall in love with their straight friends. This film does a wonderful job of addressing the issue and how it can be worked through. Intriguing story, and very well acted. The third friend shows wisdom beyond his age, kindness and is refreshingly open minded. Everyone should have a friend like that! Kudos to a great film! Very uplifting!

2.0 out of 5 starsGood story line WORST acting and video quality ever!

The story line is good. Definitely something I would recommend if the actors were better, but they were awful! Also, it's obvious that this is a low-budget movie. But come on, does the video quality had to be this awful? At times I couldn't even hear what they were saying, at others I'm not even sure if they saying something or the moments of dead air silence were part of the low-budget. So, good scrip with the the worst actors and producing quality.

5.0 out of 5 starsI really liked this.

The reviews were so split on this film that it peaked my curiosity. Yes, it is a low budget film. Yes, this story has been told before. However, there was something refreshing and honest about how it was told in this film. I don't care that I paid the money to rent this when it could have been an after school special. All I know is that I really liked this film and am glad I gave it a chance.
