Blog postBy popular demand, here is the recipe for one of my favorite cakes. When I think fall, I think of Oatmeal Cake.
In a separate bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of hot water and 1 cup of oatmeal. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, cream: 1/2 cup of butter, 1 cup of brown sugar and 1 cup of granulated sugar.
Add 3 eggs. Mix.
Add 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
Add oat mixture. -

Blog postI used to make rolled sugar cookies. I love them, but they are so much work. Now that I spend so much time writing, I was looking for a good drop sugar cookie. It had to be crispy and buttery and close to a rolled cookie.

She said she loved to write historical romances, but when she didn't have any luck selling them to a publisher, she decided she didn't care. She was going to keep writing them for herself.
