Beautiful to look at, but HORRIBLE scissors
Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2020
I was so excited to get these, and I really wanted to love them. But . . . . as the saying goes - you get what you paid for.
Modeled after the original Gingher Crane scissors, these are a very sad attempt and are very poorly crafted. The blades are are long, but different thickness on each and slightly bowed and are NOT a sharp point as stated on the listing and on the actual packaging. After ONE WEEK of using these to cut embroidery floss and tiny silk ribbin, the blades are DULL and are shredding my ribbon now.
The floral scissors have much nicer blades, albeit shorter with a sharper point, but the decorative flowers on the handles are jagged and are uncomfortable. The finger holes are extremely large for such small scissors. I have fairly large fingers, and these slide right up to my knuckles when I'm trying to cut. causing me to have to slide them back down to get a better grip.
Save your money and wait for a 50% off coupon from your local craft store and purchase original Gingher scissors there. Even the tiny mustache scissors from the dollar store work better than these :-(
