The video I took shows how the beads on the handle move, and demonstrates some of the different tunes.
The older brother loved it too! He was 3 and he liked being able to help with pushing the buttons and bringing it to whoever needed it. The baby is now 13 months old and still enjoys it and it doesn't get on our nerves like so many of the noisy tunes that come with so many of the toys. I recommend this for a shower gift to new parents of first babies. It is very well made and has been through the wringer and still works!!! A very good product!
Update: We are on child #2 and this toy is still going strong after 2.5 years (although the sticker is finally wearing off). Our second child is 4 months old and we use it in the car to calm him when he is crying. He likes the music and the colorful lights.

We bought it for her first birthday, but she couldn't press the button by herself then, so we didn't use it as much as we thought we would at first. She's nearly 18 months now and has suddenly turned a button-pressing corner and loves it. (I was actually drawn to the big easy button on the design of this, thinking she would find it easier but she actually seemed to master it at exactly the same time as all the other button pressing toys.)
It's our go to toy to take out and about. We have a collection of those plastic loops you get on other random baby toys that we use to attach dummies, toys etc to car seat/ buggy straps/ cot bars to stop things getting dropped, and it's easy to link this on to anything with that using the handle.
Would definitely recommend.
really expecting her to have too much interest in it just yet (you know what it's like, new family member,
buy a collection of items they'll not use for ages) however, i was wrong, the little one loves both the
lights and the tunes that are generated from this relatively small item, she's mesmerised by it.
I'd recommend it as an early toy for sure.
I bought this a couple of months ago and upon opening the package, noticed the screw that holds the battery compartment in place had been rounded meaning it doesn't actually stay in place. This causes the compartment to open, but more importantly the tiny screw just falls straight out. The cover of the compartment was also dis-coloured, a slightly off white compared to the white from the rest of the toy. You child could be playing with this and swallow the tiny screw or put their mouths into the battery compartment.
I immediately contacted Amazon to inform them of this fault. They offered me a refund, but it was more to make them aware of a product default. It might just be the one I purchased, but it's not worth the risk Amazon selling anymore until they are quality checked. To date, I haven't seen the item listed as unavailable or as a product recall. That's really bad from Amazon so I urge you to re-consider purchasing this particular toy.
This includes classical tunes. the selection of tunes is generally of better quality than anything else i saw (or heard) around. you can (and you will) listen to it for 500 times in a row and actually keep your sanity.
I just wished they would've put the speaker on the front as when you lay the toy on its back you can hardly hear the music and if you turn it on its front you lose the "light show".
but still, excellent buy. have just purchased another one for a friend. highly recommended
My only criticisms are that the speaker is on the back so as soon as the child puts the toy down on a soft surface the music becomes almost inaudible (easily solved by me picking it up and waving it around), and also that the buttons to play songs could be more obvious and perhaps protrude so that the baby notices them. My child has had the toy now for about a month and a half and is only just working out how to make it play without me needing to help.
On the whole a very worthwhile purchase at a good price.
