I think with these more difficult concepts in the newer books of the series and more complex language, they should have developed a sub-series called toddler loves or something like that to indicate that it addresses slightly older kids. I kept the book since I'm sure there will come a time when she likes it but that is probably years away. I actually think, the age this book targets, might even only be once they outgrow board books. Because of this, only the 4 stars.
The book itself is very nicely done and informative, with very cute illustrations, including how the eye works/eye anatomy. So I would recommend it but maybe only after you see that the earlier baby loves books seem to be too simple for your little one.
