But these Penguin Young Readers are what I think of as a TRUE Level 1, for the kid who is just putting everything together and starting to read. It's such a great feeling for my little man to be able to read the whole book himself. Even though the story is simple, the mice are really cute and my son was excited to read this book. I also like the fact that this series has original stories, rather than just something canned about some cartoon characters that usually doesn't even have a story in there. I've already got about 4 of these Penguin Young Readers, and I'm going to go out and buy some more.
