Unlike the jars I used before, these ones come with lids that are easy to twist. I don’t have to put much force into it for it to seal properly. They’re also a great size, perfect for the juices that I make with my juicer. I usually make a large batch at once so these containers are perfect for the extra. As long as I don’t open them they stay fresh for several months in the fridge.
Inspired by some reviews that I read, I also tried to make cold brew coffee in them. I didnt want to buy a fancy cold brew maker but these did the trick. Works great. The size makes it easy to add ice.
The only thing that I’d like to mention is that they’re wide mouth. For those who’re looking for something with a regular or narrow mouth, this is not it. Theres one good thing that comes out of this though…the wide mouth makes them easy to clean. I can easily stick in my bottle brush to give the inside a good cleaning. Usually what I do is I rinse it with hot water first before scrubbing the inside with some mild dish detergent. The lid gets the same treatment. I always dry it with a towel afterwards though since I’ve had it rust on me once before (nothing major, i was able to get it off quickly).
