- Skate on all Surfaces: These 60mm skateboarding wheels were designed to explore the world. Start cruising down the backroads, taking hard curves, or skating at the park.
- Shark Wheel's Advantage: Shark Wheels tend to push small objects left and right out of the way when riding, which provides a smooth ride unlike a traditional wheel that acts like a steamroller.
- Less Friction: Shark Wheels have 57% less friction when the wheels are in motion. Combined with California-made high-rebound polyurethane which gives the board extra speed, range, and comfort.
- Less Shock: The unique 30-degree approach angle strikes objects at an angle. Like driving a car over a speed bump at an angle to reduce shock, smoothing the ride with its sine wave approach angle.
- Made in California: Unlike 95% of other electric skateboard companies, Shark Wheels sources the best high-rebound polyurethane in the world. This leads to a fast and smooth riding experience.

The Shark Wheel Advantage
|
|
|
---|---|---|
Less Friction, More SpeedShark Wheels produce less friction when the wheels are in motion, producing a smoother ride at higher speeds. Combined with California-made high-rebound polyurethane which gives the skateboard extra speed, range, and comfort. |
More Grip & Slide ControlThe Shark Wheel spins as it slides acting like a car's antilock brakes. The sine wave design provides three lips on each wheel while the traditional wheel only has one lip. This provides superior lateral grip for when you want to slide, they break away smoothly and recover easily. |
More Traction Over Various TerrainShark Wheels tend to push small objects left and right, out of the way when riding to produce a smooth ride. These Wheels were designed to explore the world, whether it be down backroads, taking hard curves, or at the skate park. |

Commitment to Innovation
Shark Wheel is based and manufactured out of California, dedicated to developing innovative and technologically sound wheels in the marketplace. David Patrick’s discovery led to the reinvention of the wheel, which is flat on six sides and displays many performance advantages such as friction in motion, longevity, rebound, abrasion resistance, and off-road performance. Shark Wheel worked with the Mechanical Engineering Department out of San Diego State University to ensure the sine wave motion of the Shark Wheel was able to perform through lab and real world applications. Shark Wheels are made in California and strive to have the best high-rebound polyurethane in the world. This leads to a fast and smooth riding experience for the skateboarder.

So I bought these 60s expecting a similarly-smooth ride. I did kind of get that for the first few rides. However, it quickly became apparent that the bearings like to just fall out of these wheels. What I mean is, the wheels will not hold bearings for long. You can put them in and they might stay in, but if they are subjected to the slightest force, they'll fall right out. This translates to a worse ride than if I just used regular skate wheels. I don't know if this is a defect or if this is common among all 60s, but I certainly don't have this problem with my 70s.
The shark wheels are good for rolling over small gravel, debris etc, but it they do no different than the stock wheels for small cracks and bumps. In fact, I got thrown off the board when the wheels got caught in a drain cover with narrow grilles; the stock wheels rolled right over the same drain cover with no problems.
The shark wheels 60mm 78a are a perfect size for creating a cruising setup on an 36" range board. I choose to use them on a skateboard deck. the diameter is a little too small for a longboard setup. I would recommend a range from 70mm to 85mm if you plan on using the shark wheels for a longboard setup. The durometer range for these wheels is right around the middle. It's a little harder than I expected so a lot of the ground vibrations can be felt through the board. The wheels overall lip profile and contact path with the ground is large enough that it can go over cracks in the sidewalk fairly easily. It can also go over objects like smalls twigs and branches easily as long as the board has some speed when traveling over the object. The wheels like advertised do a great job for sliding in comparison to other standard wheels. The hardness of the wheel allows for it to not stick so much to the ground which helps with accelerating on the board. The sine wave design along with the large lip profile gives the wheels a thin contact path with provides less friction. This allows the wheels to not only slide easier, but after the initial break away from the slide, it allows the wheels to recover a lot quicker. This leads to much better slides and recovers in comparison to a lot of other wheels that I've tested. The groove pattern is also great for channeling things such as dirt, small rocks, pebbles, dust, and liquid through the wheels which provides less friction and more grip to the ground when riding. Now i wouldn't recommend riding through puddles simply because it can ruin the bearings in the wheel or the board if the water gets into it, but it does make it easier to ride through water when compared to standard wheels. Overall, These wheels are great wheels for cruising on a medium sized board setup. It's good for speed and control of your board and somewhat better for sliding in comparison to standard wheels. The vender does a great job at the delivery time. Took me about 3 days to receive them. The wheels are a good price too at $40. If it wasn't for the delivery mess up that I initially had to deal with, I would give these wheels and vendor 5 stars.

The roads around me are pretty awful so the 78a hardness takes a lot of the vibration out and reduces the amount of noise.
Now for the shape. I was sceptical if they would make any diffrence but they really do, the sine wave definetly reduces the risk of the wheel jamming on cracks and esspecially pebbles. On multiple occasions I have felt the wheel bite down on a pebble and just at the moment a standard wheel would wedge and I would go flying, the shark wheel will bite and then spit the pebble out sideways.
They are also baring up really well and are still pretty much unscathed even after months of daily comutes compared to two sets of minilogo 78a wheels which only lasted around 2 weeks each.
I wouldnt recomend them for the park or tricks but for cruising I dont think I would go back to standard wheels. Plus they look square and that seems to freak folk out.

Performance, however, is ultimately the most important thing. I could have forgiven the above if the Shark wheels performed well but I have to say I was pretty unimpressed. I swapped my OJ's on my cruiser board out for these and I have to say the Shark wheels were *noticeably* worse. And this was having swapped good quality (broken-in) bearings from my OJ's and put them straight into the Shark wheels so it was a fair contest. Everything else being equal, the Shark wheels just didn't perform nearly as well. Felt slower and definitely less smooth. In fact, there was a weird, noticeable vibration when riding on a smooth skatepark surface, which I can only put down to the shape / design of the wheels and probably the bearings not sitting well inside the wheels. It felt like skating with standard skateboard wheels when they have flatspotted. Two other skaters also tried my board and came to the same conclusion.
It's a pity but all in all, Shark wheels feel a lot more like a gimmick than the next evolution of skate wheels. From my experience, you'd do far better just buying standard wheels.
