I really should have known better by now, but I still fell for buying something that looked like a good value because it had so many good reviews. To begin with, they were incredibly stiff right out of the package and even after oiling them, I am not pleased with the feel of opening and closing them. People that are calling these sharp have probably never used good quality fabric or embroidery scissors before. The longer scissors will cut through the several fabrics I've tested them on, but need a bit of force on layered or thicker fabrics. A really sharp pair of fabric scissors cut through normal fabric as easy as a knife through warm butter. These feel like the same sharpness as the scissors I use for paper.
I am actually a bit angry about the smallest pair that they called embroidery scissors. They're too big, too thick, not sharp enough, and not maneuverable enough to do any of the things that embroidery scissors are used for. They feel like trying to use sharpened children's scissors. Even my cheapest backup embroidery scissors and my itty bitty little travel scissors are better than these!
I will probably just use the two larger pairs for around the house, but I think that the smallest ones are heading for the trash.
