Like your crime short and sweet? So does Barb Goffman. She's a crime writer who specializes in short stories. Her book Don't Get Mad, Get Even won the Silver Falchion Award for best crime short-story collection published in 2013. Barb also won the 2015 Agatha Award for her story "A Year Without Santa Claus?" (published in the January/February 2015 issue of Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine) and the 2013 Macavity Award for her story "The Lord Is My Shamus" (originally published in Chesapeake Crimes: This Job Is Murder and republished in Don't Get Mad, Get Even).

Barb has been been named a finalist 30 times for national crime-writing awards, including the Anthony and Derringer awards. Her stories run from funny to dark, and from amateur sleuth to police procedural. She earns her living as a freelance crime-fiction editor, specializing in cozy and traditional mysteries.
