Writing fast is the most important skill you can develop as a writer. While it seems hard to hit high word counts, the secrets are easier than you think.

This is not the book for you if you are looking for a get rich quick scheme.
This is the book for you if you are looking for a write fast and fearless scheme. This is the book for you if you want to learn how to stand up to your fears and push through. This is the book for you if you need a slap in the face about how much time you are wasting NOT writing your book.
This IS the book that I needed.
There is some good advice in this book. I will start writing on my phone and I share the author's passion and motivations. But again there is nothing really practical in this book. Except for the phone advice. The chapter about writers block is more like general advice for authors. Meditate, eat well, take a nap, go for a walk, overcome your fears by writing them. All good, but like I said, nothing new.
Overall I don't think this is a good book, but I am grateful for the effort the author put in this. I really think that his advice about the phone writing is good, and if that's the only thing I get out of this, so be it. Take my $3.
editing, and finally completing your book?
What is keeping you from publishing your book,
once, and IF you ever complete it?
Answer: Wait for it...FEAR.
That one little four letter word, which can tie people
up in knots and make you stop trying...anything.
Be a Writing Machine, exposes that word and shows
the reader ways to get around the grip it can and does
wrap your mind in.
I see you over there, looking down at your shoes, yes you!
Hit a nerve didn't I?
Instead of shaking your head (yes, fear has the power to tell
you to stop wasting your time) get the book and start controlling
your writing fear.
Had to even click through to Facebook 'like'. Thank-you!
I’ve heard of this author before I think through Joanna Penn but this is my first time reading his book and I can’t wait to read more of his books. I learned a lot from it.
I am still diving into his fiction but I have loved his non-fiction work especially this book. I need a physical copy so I can keep close and handy to keep me going in my writing.
It is to the point of what you need to know for being a writer. It isn’t a lofty series with a workbook on writing (like some of us have paid for, I’m sure.).
Maybe it is the timing since a lot of things are digital and can come to us quickly but I love watching and listening to a writer share his process with us and help us out along the way.

I recently came across Michael's youtube channel, and then this book. I've read a few books on how to develop mindset, this is one of the best.

Isso é o mais legal sobre livros de escrita — não existe só um jeito de escrever. Cada autor tem suas referências e suas ferramentas. Ler sobre o processo dos outros sempre me inspira.
