UPDATE: So, I gave it another shot. Re-read it this week, while re-reading the series. Yikes. Sorry. Even worse! Maia was just as unrecognizable as I remembered, But I couldn’t take ANY of the other characters - so annoying and weird. Honestly, it was like a completely different author wrote this book in the series and perhaps had not even read the other ones. Skipped over probably a third of the book. That can’t be good. Again, sorry. Thought maybe it was just me, a bad mood or something last time reading. Nope.
After being strong for her friends in all the other books, Maia is about to have a nervous break down. I think the author did a good job showing the emotions of a person going through everything that Maia was. I expected more from her friends.
Overall it was a good story. I was sad to see the series end, I would like to visit Emerald Isles again in a few years to check in on them.
contentment. It is also a conclusion of sorts of many unresolved issues affecting several of the main characters. From relationships to resentments o family issues. New paths are formed, new relationships accepted, forgiveness is given and received and life moves forward day by day.
Most of all, it is a novel about love, family, friends, contentment, and iving the most of each day and having Faith that the future will bring forward what is meant to be all in good time.
I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
When I read about some of Margie’s shell creations, I realized that I had read more of Grace Greene’s books and loved them, too.
No profanity .. no intrusion on private moments behind closed doors .. just good, clean reading!
