I follow Gracelaced on Instagram and have bought several of Ruth's art prints. I saw that she was coming out with a new book but didn't think I was interested until I read a brief description. As soon as I read it, I knew this was a message I needed in this season of life. I reached out to some women from my church to see if they wanted to join me in a study group. There are now 6 of us reading this together (along with the companion guide), and it has been a great blessing so far. I love the blend of old and new - quotes and material pulled from older authors and theologians along with stories and examples from modern life. It honors the timeless wisdom of older generations and allows younger people to appreciate it too. It also has both simplicity and depth. This is not a fluffy, feel-good book. It is solid and steadfast with much knowledge behind it, but also easy to understand. I wanted something to challenge me, humble me, and point me to Jesus, and that is what I received. Our group is made of women in their late 20's to mid-30's, but it has a message that could apply to people of all ages.

Great content, beautiful artwork
